Will Levis Shines in NFL Debut
The Tennessee Titans snapped a two-game losing streak last week with rookie QB Will Levis at the helm. Levis went an incredible 19/29 for 238 yards and 4 touchdowns, and the Titans, who are now 3-4, announced that Levis will be the starting quarterback for Thursday night’s matchup with the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Steelers are 4-3 after snapping a two-game winning streak last week, and will look to get back on track at home against the Titans.
I’m going with the underdog Tennessee Titans in this one. The Steelers have an impressive defensive front, led by the indomitable T.J. Watt, but as a whole, the Pittsburgh defense has struggled. The Steelers are giving up 382.6 total yards per game, the 3rd-highest in the NFL. Tennessee’s QB Will Levis could struggle against Pittsburgh’s QB pressure, but when the Steelers pass rushers start causing problems, the Titans can turn to their RB Derrick Henry. The Steelers are giving up 137 rushing yards per game, and King Henry could be in for a feast.
Pittsburgh’s offense has looked stale all season, averaging the 3rd-fewest yards per game (271.7). Steelers QB Kenny Pickett has been cleared to play, but with just 190 yards per game, Pickett has not been the answer the Steelers offense was looking for. Tennessee’s defense is nothing to brag about, but against Pittsburgh’s lifeless offense, the Titans have the upper hand.
So for our Titans vs. Steelers expert pick, take the Tennessee Titans Moneyline (+124) on Thursday night.
