Two High Powered Offenses Go Head-to-Head
The Miami Dolphins and LA Chargers each had underwhelming seasons last year. Expectations for each team were high, but as always, injuries played a major factor in each team’s trajectory. The Dolphins finished 9-8 and the Chargers went 10-7, and while they both qualified for the Wild Card, neither the Dolphins nor the Chargers made it to the next round.
This year, expectations are high once again for both the Dolphins and the Chargers. QB Tua Tagovailoa leads the Dolphins explosive offense, and while he had the best passer rating last season (105.5), he has yet to play an entire NFL season. Justin Herbert’s canon of an arm leads the Chargers offensive, and while last season didn’t play out perfectly, Herbert has nearly all of his weapons back and is looking to finish as a top-5 QB.
This Dolphins vs. Chargers head-to-head matchup is going to be a shootout. Both teams have talented players at every position, but I like the Dolphins in this one. The Dolphins have a fantastic offense and an underrated defense, and even though they are on the road, Miami will walk away with the Week 1 win.
So for our Dolphins vs. Chargers expert pick, take Miami Dolphins Moneyline (+136) on Sunday.
