Titans to Take Advantage

NFL: Highlights from Bucs' 1st joint practice with Titans

With the regular season coming around the corner, the Tennessee Titans look to bounce back from last week’s loss to Baltimore and take advantage of a Brady-less Buccaneers squad. This past week Tampa has caught itself in the middle of a Tom Brady controversy. Brady has been missing from practice this week and the reason remains a secret. Coming into Nashville for Week 2 of Preseason, where we could see some starters up their playing time, the Titans should have the upper hand in this matchup. During preseason, players are still fighting for a position on the final 52-man roster, so expect to see everyone at their best. Caesars Casino & Sportsbook has the match result odds at -160 Tennessee and +140 Tampa Bay. Additionally, the over/under total points for the game is set at 38.0 with the over and under both being -110. New users will receive a Risk-Free Bet of up to $1500 on their first wager.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers suffered a heartbreaking loss to the Miami Dolphins last week. They had the opportunity to win on a last-second field goal but they missed. Quarterback Blaine Gabbert started the game for the Bucs and played the first two opening drives and was able to score one touchdown while playing. Kyle Trask took over after and for the rest of the game. His performance was solid as he threw for 250 yards and one touchdown but he was responsible for two turnovers. With the loss of Brady this preseason, the Bucs will need to use these games to evaluate the quarterbacks they have on the roster. I expect Gabbert to get more playing time as he played great against the Dolphins.

The Tennessee Titans lost last week to the Baltimore Ravens. They had their first round selection quarterback, Malik Willis, start the game for them and he played until the beginning of the third quarter. While he was on the field, he rushed for one touchdown and had a quarterback rating of 88. As a team, the Titans had just under 300 total yards and their defense gave up over 380 total yards. They also committed three turnovers which ruined their chances of winning and shifted momentum. It is unknown if the starters will play but Willis should continue to play for Titans.

If the Titans are able to limit their turnovers, they will have a better chance at winning this game. I believe that the Bucs will get too caught up in the Brady controversy and will lose focus of this game. Whoever wins this game will gain momentum and confidence heading into the final game of preseason.
