The Jets Are The NFL’s Worst Offense
It must be hard to be a Jets fan. After an incredible upset victory in week 1, the New York Jets have dropped back-to-back games, and are now 1-2 on the season. What was supposed to be a promising season is quickly devolving into another disappointing year for the Jets, and clearly the offense is to blame. The Jets are last in points per game (14.0), total yards (675), yards per game (225.0), and passing yards (401). They’ve scored just 4 total touchdowns, average less than 5 yards per play, and have the fewest first downs (37) in the league. It’s been tough to watch, and likely won’t get better against a stout KC defense.
I like the Chiefs in this one. I can’t in good conscience take the Jets. New York’s offense is awful, and the Jets supposedly infallible defense has not lived up to the hype. The Chiefs on the other hand finally look like their old selves. KC stomped the Chicago Bears 41-10 last week, and their defense has allowed just 1 touchdown in their last 2 games. There’s no way the Jets abysmal offense will move the ball effectively against the Chiefs, and Kansas City will win their third consecutive game.
