NFL: Dallas Cowboys at New York Giants

This is the Sunday, September 10th NFL report for the Cowboys vs. Giants prediction.

The game starts at 8:20 PM EST in New York’s MetLife Stadium. The Moneyline has the Giants at +145, while the Cowboys are favored at -175. The O/U is set at 46 points, and the Spread is 3.5 points in favor of Dallas.

The First Sunday Night Football Game

In the first Sunday Night Football game of the 2023 NFL season, the Dallas Cowboys will take on the New York Giants. The Cowboys, per usual, have high expectations coming into the season, while the Giants are looking to improve upon their tremendous performance last season. The Cowboys finished 2022 with a 12-5 record, while the Giants defied expectations and went 9-7-1 and made it all the way to the Divisional Round of the playoffs.     

Despite the Giants unexpected success last season, they still have a lot to prove. Even with the addition of TE Darren Waller, New York’s receiving corps is weak. Dallas has a great defense, and Giants QB Daniel Jones will struggle to move the ball with Dallas’ Micah Parsons breathing down his neck. 

For that reason, I like the Cowboys in this one. Dallas has only gotten better over the offseason, adding WR Brandin Cooks and CB Stephon Gilmore to their already stacked roster. RB Zeke Ellliott has left the Cowboys, meaning QB Dak Prescott has been given full reign of the offense. Dak is going to have a great season, which will start with a week 1 win over Dallas’ divisional rivals, the New York Giants, on Sunday Night.
