Texans and Pats face off in opener

The Texans come into this year after having an offseason that should push this team into a new age as they drafted CJ Stroud at the number two pick to hopefully quarterback this team into the future. They will get their first test here. 

The Patriots come into this season as what might be the worst team in the division. That isn’t even a knock against them it’s just that this division is that good. They missed the playoffs last season and should be looking to get back in this year. 

I like the Patriots in this game. Bill Belichek is a notoriously tough coach who takes every game seriously and loves finding those preseason guys. He is also notoriously really hard on rookie quarterbacks and he is facing CJ Stroud here. Stroud is making his debut and there will most definitely be some nerves. This Pats defense should keep it close.
