OK, let’s get to our Super Bowl LVI Prop Bets.
Super Bowl Sunday presents a great opportunity to win big money betting football and you don’t even need to try and pick the winner of the game or the total. There are thousands of proposition bets available at sportsbooks all over the world and when the bookmaker has to post that many betting options, they are bound to make mistakes and here is one that we have already jumped on.
Let’s start with Rams Running Back Cam Akers to rush for more than 65 yards. Akers missed the majority of the season after tearing his Achilles in training camp back in July. He rehabbed for six months to return for the regular season finale and while he has only run for 154 yards on 59 carries, those numbers don’t concern us since 37 of those carries have come against the elite run defenses of San Francisco and Tampa Bay.
What’s most important is that Akers has looked more healthy with each game. He’s also been getting the bulk of the team’s carries and Sean McVay is definitely favoring the running game, throwing the ball just 51% of the time in three playoff games, which is down from 60% in the regular season.
Expect McVay to employ this same run-first approach on Sunday Bowl Sunday as the Bengals have the 24th ranked rushing defense in the league.
Last year when he was 100% healthy, Akers ran for 90 yards and 131 yards in LA’s two playoff games on 46 carries and we expect to see a similar workload and rushing total on Sunday against Cincinnati.
So, for our Super Bowl Prop Best Bet, let’s play over 65 rushing yards for Cam Akers.
