Super Bowl LVIII is right around the corner, and this year’s matchup features two incredible teams. We have the San Francisco 49ers representing the NFC, and the reigning Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs representing the AFC. The 49ers are back in the Super Bowl for the first time since 2020, when they lost to none other than the Kansas City Chiefs. The Niners are looking for revenge, as well as the franchise’s 6th championship title. The Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl for the 4th time in 5 years, and are looking for the organization’s 4th championship title.
The 49ers are 2.5 point favorites over the Chiefs, but this one could go either way. The Super Bowl is all about the players on the field, and in this matchup fans will be spoiled. There are superstars athletes on both sides looking to make an impact, secure a Super Bowl title, and etch their name into the history books. Deebo Samuel, 49ers WR; Prop Bet: O/U 4.5 receptions
Prediction: Over (-120)
Deebo Samuel is a great player to focus on when looking at player props. He can do so many things for the 49ers offense, and plays a physical style of football that’s hard to stop. Deebo is leading the Niners receiving corps with 10 total receptions this postseason, and averaged 4 receptions per game during the regular season. Samuel will line up all over the field, making him a serious challenge for KC’s defense. The 49ers are a run-first team, but when they go to the air, Deebo Samuel will be the top target.
Christian McCaffrey, 49ers RB; Prop Bet: O/U 89.5 rushing yards
Prediction: Over (-130)
Christian McCaffrey has finally reached a Super Bowl, and after the season he had I can think of no one more deserving. McCaffrey led the NFL with 1,459 rushing yards, tied for the most touchdowns with 21, and tacked on another 564 receiving yards. In the playoffs, CMC is averaging 94.0 rushing yards per game, and now faces a Chiefs defense that’s giving up 4.6 yards per carry. McCaffrey saw 20 carries against the Lions in the NFC Championship, and 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan will once again lean on his All-Pro running back. Christian McCaffrey is the engine powering San Francisco’s offense, and in Super Bowl LVIII, CMC will record his 3rd-straight 90-yard rushing performance.
Travis Kelce, Chiefs TE; Prop Bet: O/U 6.5 receptions
Prediction: Over (-140)
Travis Kelce did not have a career defining season. The 34-year old tight end finished under 1,000 receiving yards for the first time since 2015, but in the playoffs we’ve seen vintage Kelce. Averaging 87.3 yards, 7.7 receptions, and 3 touchdowns in 3 games, Travis Kelce fueled the fire for Kansas City’s Super Bowl run. He is the top-target for QB Patrick Mahomes, as Chiefs head coach Andy Reid continues to draw up plays with Kelce as the focal point. Kansas City needs their tight end to have another big game, and Kelce will see his fair share of targets.
Patrick Mahomes, Chiefs QB; Prop Bet: O/U 1.5 passing touchdowns
Prediction: Over (-160)
Superstars show up in big games, and there’s no brighter star on the biggest stage in football than Patrick Mahomes. Mahomes is 14-3 (82.4%) in the postseason, and is the youngest quarterback in NFL history to compete in 4x Super Bowls. Much of the Chiefs success in the last 5 years can be attributed to Patrick Mahomes, and in Super Bowl LVIII, the 2x MVP will have another career defining performance. This postseason, Mahomes has 4 touchdowns in 3 games, and in the biggest game of their season, Kansas City is going to rely on their talented quarterback. Even when he was counted out earlier this year, Mahomes found a way to get back to the big dance, where he will once again showcase his incredible skills.
