Week 3 of the NFL regular season kicks off with the New York Giants taking on the San Francisco 49ers. The Giants are the underdogs in this, as many analysts are expecting a blowout win for the 49ers. The Giants come in priced at +410, and with the spread set at 10 points in favor of San Francisco, clearly no one expects New York to win this one.
The New York Giants (+10; +410)
The Giants narrowly avoided an 0-2 start after an impressive come from behind victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 2. QB Daniel Jones went 26/37, recorded 380 total yards, and 3 total touchdowns. It was a much needed win for the Giants after their 40-0 defeat in the opening game of the season. Unfortunately, New York now faces another top-tier defense in the 49ers, and with Saquon Barkley out, the Giants don’t have many ways to overcome San Francisco’s suffocating defense. This is a tough matchup for the Giants, but if they pull off the win, it could be the biggest upset of the season.
The San Francisco 49ers (-10; -550)
The 49ers are 2-0, recording 30 points in each of their first two games of the season. So far, SF has lived up to their lofty expectations, and remain a favorite to win the Super Bowl. RB Christian McCaffrey has been fantastic in his second year as a 49er, recording 152.0 total yards per game along with 2 touchdowns through the first two weeks of the season. McCaffrey is about to go nuclear against a Giants defense who allowed 151 rushing yards last week to the Arizona Cardinals. But the 49ers are loaded with offensive weapons, and QB Brock Purdy has shown tremendous poise leading the Niners to a 2-0 start.

Giants vs. 49ers Prediction
Take the 49ers to win the game. They are heavily favored because of their talent on both sides of the ball, and because the Giants are dealing with several injuries to key players. New York’s best offensive weapon, RB Saquon Barkley, has been ruled out for the matchup, along with a handful of offensive linemen. The Giants have given up 10 sacks in 2 games, and with a depleted O-line, New York will struggle to keep QB Daniel Jones protected against an imposing 49ers defense that is often hailed as the best in the NFL. Additionally, the 49ers average nearly twice as many points per game as the Giants, so New York is hoping they can pull a rabbit out of their helmets, because it’s going to take some magic to pull off the upset.
Prediction: San Francisco 49ers Moneyline (-550)
Final Score: 49ers 34, Giants 17
