Ok, let’s get to the Expert Predictions for tonight’s Monday Night Football Game where the Saints will be starting a 4th-string quarterback in Ian Book.

This line opened up with the Saints a 3 point home favorite, but with Jameis Winston still sidelined by injury and both Taysom Hill and Trevor Siemian on the COVID list, this number has flipped to Miami as the favorite as New Orleans will have to give a rookie QB his first NFL snaps.

In addition to the pointspread moving all the way to Miami as the slight favorite, the total on this game has dropped to 37 from 40, and that’s where we are going to step in and take advantage as we think this is simply too low of a number to place on an NFL game.

Yes, the Saints will be starting a rookie QB, but this is an offense that has been dedicated to the running game all season, running the ball the fifth most of any team in the NFL, so it’s not like the Saints are going to ask Book to go out there and throw the ball all over the dome.

Also, if the young rookie is forced to pass, mistakes are bound to happen – and interceptions, sacks and fumbles are most often a friend to the over, so that could really help our cause tonight.

As for the Dolphins, the team has won six in a row and QB Tua Tagovailoa is playing the best football of his career. During the last four weeks, the team is averaging 27 points per game and since the Saints defense ranks Number 1 in the league is rushing yards allowed per attempt, expect Tua to come out throwing early and often, which is always a friend to the over, and, once again, turnovers may help us get some unexpected points as the Dolphins are in the Top 5 of the league in number of giveaways and the Saints defense is very opportunistic.

Put it all together and with a total this low, all you need is one big play on special teams or a pick-6 by one of these defenses and the over will be in play, so let’s take advantage of an overreaction by the bookmakers here and play Miami and New Orleans to go over 37 points under the Dome on a fast track in perfect conditions.
