Saint look to get above 500
The Bears haven’t looked great all season currently sitting at 2-6 at the bottom of the NFC North. They made a move at the deadline to grab Montez Sweat who will improve this defense. Justin Field is out again this week and Tyler Bagent will get the start. Bagent got a win in his first start but hasn’t looked great scoring only 1 touchdown to 3 interceptions. The Bears offense has been decent as a whole scoring over 21 a game putting them at 17th. The defense on the other side has been atrocious. They are allowing over 27 points per game which puts them bottom 5 in the league.
The Saints are looking to get over 500 in this one as they currently sit 4-4 and tied for the lead of the NFC South. They’ve been very inconsistent this year but are coming off a win against Indianapolis. This team has been good all around and is better than their record. The offense ranks 12th in total offense and 18th in scoring averaging over 21 points a game. On the other side of the ball they are even better ranking 9th in defense allowing just over 19 points a game.
Take the Saints in this one. This team completely outmatches the Bears in every which way. I think the Saints go on a bit of a run here; they are much better than a 4-4 team. Bagent will struggle again and even though Sweat will improve this defense still is not gonna be able to stop the Saints offense. So for our Bears v Saints expert pick take the Saints -8.5
