Matchup: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Baltimore Ravens
The NFL Conference Championships are here, and in the AFC we have the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Baltimore Ravens. The Chiefs are back for the 6th consecutive season, while the Ravens haven’t been to the Conference Championship since 2012 when they won the Super Bowl. The Chiefs narrowly beat the Buffalo Bills last week (27-24) in Patrick Mahomes’ first career postseason game on the road, while the Ravens routed the Texans 34-10 at home behind a brilliant performance from MVP favorite Lamar Jackson. Now the two quarterbacks go head-to-head in their 4th all-time meeting, with Mahomes leading the series 3-1 over Jackson. But the Ravens are 3.5 point favorites with home field advantage, and ended the season as the No. 1 team in the NFL, so it goes without saying, Mahomes and Chiefs certainly have their work cut out for them.

Chiefs vs. Ravens: Player Prop
Lamar Jackson, Ravens QB; Prop Bet: O/U 63.5 rushing yards
Prediction: Over (-120)
Lamar Jackson had himself another MVP worthy season, and as a result the Ravens are in the Conference Championship for the first time in 12 years. Jackson recorded 4,499 total yards (3,678 passing, 821 rushing) and 29 total touchdowns (24 passing, 5 rushing). Last week against a stout Houston run defense, Jackson recorded 100 rushing yards (9.1 YPC) and 2 touchdowns. He now faces a Chiefs defense that gave up 72 rushing yards to Bills QB Josh Allen, and while Allen is an elite scrambler, he pales in comparison to Lamar Jackson’s speed and quickness. The Chiefs have a great secondary, and recorded the 2nd-most sacks (57.0) during the regular season, meaning Lamar Jackson won’t have time to find his receivers downfield and will instead rely on his legs, which is why I like the over on his 63.5 rushing yard player prop.
Chiefs vs. Ravens Game Predictions
When it comes to the playoffs, Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs have a winning mentality that is unmatched, recording a 13-3 postseason record since Mahomes took over as the starting quarterback. However, this season the Baltimore Ravens have a special team, and this is their time. I’m taking the Baltimore Ravens to beat the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Conference Championship. The Ravens are incredibly well-rounded, averaging 28.4 points during the regular season, and allowing just 16.5 opponents points per game. Lamar Jackson is the focal point, but Baltimore’s defense played a major role in getting them to the Conference Championship.
The Ravens led the NFL in sacks (60.0) and allowed the fewest touchdowns (26) during the regular season. Last week against the Texans, who were the 7th-best passing offense, the Ravens allowed just 175 passing yards and no touchdowns. The only touchdown Houston scored was a punt return, and in the second half, Baltimore never allowed the Texans inside their own 25-yard line. The Chiefs have been leaning more and more on their running game in the postseason, with RB Isiah Pacheco averaging 93.0 yards per game in the playoffs, but the Ravens will shut that down too, as Baltimore allowed a measly 38 rushing yards to the Texans last week. The Ravens are red-hot, winning 10 of their last 11, while scoring 31+ points in 7 straight home games, giving Baltimore a real chance to dethrone the Chiefs as kings of the postseason.
Moneyline Pick: Baltimore Ravens (-205)
ATS Pick: Baltimore Ravens (-3.5)
O/U Pick: Over (44.5)
Score: Chiefs 24; Ravens 30
