Ok, let’s get to our Rams vs Packers fantasy picks.
Big game today at Lambeau Field as the Rams and Packers are both among the favorites to win the NFC this year and this game could factor into who gets the No. 1 seed.
The Rams come in off a bye week, but previous to the week off they had lost two games in a row to fall to 7-3. The main culprit during those two losses to Tennessee and San Fran was the play of QB Matthew Stafford, who averaged just 268 passing yards with two TDs and four interceptions in those two games. We are hearing a lot of rumblings from our insiders that Stafford is not healthy and is having back issues, so it will be interesting to see if the bye week will help him here, although we know playing in the cold at Green Bay is not an ideal situation for an older QB, with back issues, who has played in a dome or in a warm weather city his entire career.
As for the Packers, they are also dealing with some major injuries. QB Aaron Rodgers did not practice this week and is dealing with a painful toe injury. Running Back Aaron Jones also remains sidelined and Green Bay is also down two starting offensive linemen. That doesn’t bode well today against Aaron Donald and that ferocious Rams pass rush.
With that said, we don’t expect Green Bay to come out winging it today. The team ranks 28th in the league in offensive pace and we fully expect them to slow it down even further in this game, while the Rams will also be hampered offensively by playing in cold weather against a Green Bay defense that ranks 5th in the league in points allowed and has given up an average of just 11 points per game at home this season. In fact, Green Bay home games have averaged just 36.8 points per game this season and over the last three seasons the Packers have gone under in 13 of their last 20 home games.
So, for our Rams vs Packers picks let’s play under 47.5 points today in Green Bay.
