Point Total Play
Tonight the Dallas Cowboys vs take on the Los Angeles Chargers in both teams second preseason game. If this were a regular season game, it will be one to watch as both these teams are coming off good seasons and have aspirations to go even farther. According to Vegas, the over-under on win totals for these teams are at 10.5 for the Cowboys and 10 for the Chargers. So you can definitely make a case for both these teams competing for a Super Bowl, maybe even against each other. Unfortunately, neither of these teams are big on playing their starters in preseason as none of the big names on the Cowboys such as Dak Prescott, Cedee Lamb, or Ezekiell Elliott got any reps in their first preseason game. The same was the case for the Los Angeles Chargers in terms of names such as Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler, Mike Williams or Keenan Allen.
That means for the Dallas Cowboys, we should expect a starting trio of Cooper Rush, Malik Davis and Brandon Smith, who will be the main three to watch in this game. Brandon Smith is the rookie out of Iowa and he will have a great opportunity as the Cowboys wide receiver group is lacking behind CeeDee Lamb. For the Chargers at quarterback, we will see Chase Daniel and Easton Stick. Easton Stick was sort of a preseason star last year as he turned heads and even had some belief that he would take over Chase Daniels spot as QB #2 on the team. The name to watch in the receiving core for the charges will be Michael Bandy. He had probably the most productive game from any wide receiver in a preseason game last week, as he was targeted a whopping 11 times and caught seven of those targets for 73 yards and one touchdown. Right now, Bandy is the wide receiver 8 on the depth chart for the Chargers, but if he continues this good play, he can move all the way up to wide receiver 5 on this team.
For our expert Dallas Cowboys versus Los Angeles Chargers prediction, take the Chargers -3.5.
