All right, welcome back, everyone. Tommy Dee, here it is Christmas Eve. Friday, December 24 2021. We have a Christmas update NFL update. We’re going to go over everything for this weekend. We’re going to talk about what’s happening over the weekend. There is no action today on Friday, they canceled this Hawaii Memphis game. Last minute I guess overnight doodle Hawaii had a lot of players with COVID issues. So I guess Hawaii just withdrew at it as game not that it was a popular game. But listen, it does hurt the local economy out there in Hawaii. A lot of people flew out their schools flew out all these kids from from Memphis. So I mean, there’s absolutely nothing to play today. I guess you could look at some European soccer. We’re not going to get into that. But it’s a basically it’s a dartboard.

real quiet board today. Wow. It’s a I guess it’s just a good day to take it easy and get ready for a busy weekend. Focus on these games starting on Saturday and Sunday, which is going to be a lot of excitement, obviously with the NFL winding down. And college football is going to be a little quiet. There’s not many big games this particular weekend, but the week after, we’re going to start coming into some of those huge college football matchups. So yeah, you know, MBAs got a nice board for Christmas Day. They got about five or six games on tap. So you know, what if we got to take it easy today in a joy of families and just chill out.

I’m all for that get myself re re energized for Saturday and Sunday.

I agree. Just get your thoughts together and move on for the weekend. Let’s talk a little about yesterday’s two games. I mean, you know, once again, a lot of I guess you’d consider it an upset Tennessee. Nine seconds left kicking a field goal against San Francisco. Tre you want to you want to throw in a couple of your thoughts on what happened yesterday.

I mean, home dog and primetime. Oh, it always been a great system to go with. But we’re not worse beats I’ve ever had in my life. I had 10 hills over to 18 and a half and he had 209 and they had 20 yards ago. And he runs it. I needed. I needed 10 yards passing and you runs it 20 yards for the game day and that was that was one of the worst beats I’ve ever had. But Ollie I hit the UCF game so at least we didn’t go broke.

Yeah, I mean, I was monitoring not I mean he started off slow, tattered Hill, but then he picked up some some yards later in the game and you’re right he needed he needed nine yards and he runs the ball who would have thought and then of the horse. Florida Gators UFC.

Scott, you call that one? I mean, Florida guests had not much to play coming into this game. And look look what happened. They lose to UFC. I just had a feeling a six and six gators team was just not going to be pumped up for that guy even though it was a huge you know, in state rivalry I guess not like not like a Florida State Florida or Miami you know, FSU back in the day. But I did call That game to go over. I thought that both teams would show up.

Unfortunately, UCF showed up they put in 29 points, but the Gators, they just couldn’t get out of their own way and almost seemed like just like I figured I almost should have just put out a huge play against the Gators in that game because I had all the angles going against the Gators. But I just put I put it together that both teams would, you know, put points up on the board. But I really thought that the Gators really didn’t have a lot to come into that game. No head coach coming in with another coach. I think that I could see them being flat six and 16 not a big bowl game. But I was off on the obviously on the over on the 5055 points. But listen, you know what, we’ve we’ve put out games on this show all week. And we’ve been getting just terrible bad beats. I mean, look at San Francisco last night, they could have been up 17 Nothing is easy. At the first half.

Jimmy G throws two crucial picks. In that game. They get ready to school, you know, they’ve got 14 nothing and he throws a pic. You know, they were they were 10 Not that could have been 17. Nothing easily just blowing them out, shutting them down. And then he gives him the golden opportunity in the second half, throwing a key pick that gives them the momentum. And all of a sudden that game just flipped like that. And gave all the momentum in the world to Tennessee. So I’m on the right side. So these games as crazy as it sounds. I’m on the like the night before with Seattle. I’m on the right sides of these games, but I’m not catching one break, which is tough.

But that’s no tour the bed I just looked at my notes. I I said UFC it’s UCLA. So I plugged that Dana White. So Dana, you know what? Plug a plug in you guys on sponsorship? Dana? Yeah, well, I think there’s a better chance that we, you know, fly at a Moz tomorrow. But that’s that’s another story here. Well, I mean, the Cowboys clinched a playoff berth because of the Niners losing. So right now you have Dallas and Green Bay that are guaranteed to get into the playoffs. I guess Dallas could thank San Fran, for losing last night. Yeah, definitely.

It’s like I said, I said it the other day, I think anybody can beat anybody on enemy get given Sunday right now. It just seems like there is not one team that stands out big time. I mean, used to remember back in the day to be one team that would just dominate and get all the way to the Superbowl. Right now. I just think there’s a handful of teams that have a golden opportunity to even in the last couple of weeks to just turn a lot parody, right.

I mean, and there’s gonna be COVID such you know, let’s face it, the COVID thing is all about hanging. That’s another thing, right? That’s a variable that you cannot predict guys are going to be together with families for Christmas. And that’s saying, you know, you got to be careful. So I would I would speculate you’re gonna see more COVID situations are legal in a case like Tampa Bay, it’s not even coat it’s not even COVID It’s injury so they lose Fournet which is a huge weapon. Mike Evans, huge weapon, Godwyn, huge weapon Antonio Brown, you know, probably the best receiver in the National Football League. Before all his you know, all this trouble Siyad. I mean, Tampa Bay’s getting hurt by not COVID they get hurt by injuries. Some of these other teams obviously are getting combination of COVID and some injuries. But yeah, this time of the year, guys, let me explain something to you.

Anyone could just take off starting this week and just go on a roll and never turn never looked back. That’s the NFL for you, though. That’s why it’s the toughest game out there. Everyone loves it from a betting to enjoy it because they’re home.

You know, in most parts of the country, the weather’s cold, they’re in the house.

They’re watching these games that turns you know people on that they could sit and watch him, but toughest sport in the world to consistently make money with by far as the NFL. It’s proven week after week. And if you watch these games, just this week alone, look at how these games turn from being winners to losers that quickly.

One entrepreneur, what 100% Scott, what we’re going to be doing here is we’re going to be talking about the two NFL games tomorrow, Christmas Day. We got two nice NFL games, and then we’re going to be looking at a game on Sunday.

And we’re going to change a little bit of the format here. We’re going to also predict who’s going to win the MVP this year in the NFL, so we have about three four candidates. Trey could specialize on that. But let’s start with The with Dre and you could find Dre on online sports bet calm he is one of our head writers for the website. So let’s start with this packers Browns game. I mean this game is being played out at Lambeau Field, I suspect it’s going to be a little chilly out there the line right now PAC is up to seven and a half. It did open up lower totals 46 Pack is browns, Dre what’s your take?

I mean, I looked at this game and like a single thing about it. I do like the seven and a half that’s that just didn’t like the rocks come out glad at the bronze could be the bronze we thought they were before the season started and play amazing football. Like that first week and week one, when they almost beat the chiefs, they should have beat the chiefs. But I’m gonna I’m gonna stick with a first house right here and take the bronze plus for the first half. Because I don’t like the full game thread and I don’t like the over under either. I really don’t know we’re gonna get with this Browns team. After after this week of COVID. I would really like to stay away from this game. But if I had to give it pick, it would have to be the bronze plus first half plus four. Because I’m looking at the last five games here for the Packers guys. And they’ve been tied 1414 to the Ravens down 2721 to the bears down 1610 to the Vikings. And then up 2217 on the rams and up three zero on the Seahawks. So they haven’t been ahead by more than three points in any of their last five games at halftime. They I guess they just start slowing and Rodgers turns it on that second half is what’s been happening lately especially in that bears game and especially in that ravens game. So I would be tempted to take the Broncos for you. All right, brownies plus for first half Scott, what do you think packers browns? Well, I don’t know the browns in I shake my head with that from one week to the next that one week. They could come out and look like wow, this is this a real football thing. Then the next week they come out and you’re like What the hell’s going on with the browns?

They look terrible. I mean, it’s just that kind of season. I don’t think Baker Mayfield is playing in this game. I don’t know Trey, if you’ve got Later reports. I haven’t even seen him at all. He may not even play in this game again. Aaron Rodgers, what can you say about this guy between him and Tom Brady, you got 82 years on the field. These guys are like, lighten up the league. I mean, they’re probably, you know, talk about your other conversation you’re gonna have later these two are the front runners probably for the MVP. Also, the running back off for the Colts is in the mix they have but to get back to this game.

I gotta be honest with you. packers are six no at home. I mean, they just find ways to win. Yet. Are they blown people out? No. Can Cleveland come in there and keep a close eye. You know, obviously, weather conditions are going to be a factor in the game. I don’t know exactly how the weather is going to be on this game if it’s going to be a clear day. Or it’s going to be one of those nasty, nasty Lambeau Field kind of days, you know, back in the frozen 100 days. So I gotta be honest with you, I probably take the points. It’s not a big play for me in the game. I like to say Greenbay just seems to find ways to turn it on and turn it off. I don’t know if it’s that big toe of Aaron Rodgers is it’s feeling good. Then the next minute, it’s not feeling good. And then when it’s feeling good, he jumps all over it. That takes advantage of his talents. But I think Cleveland can hang in this game, the line opened on this game about eight, eight and a half, it’s kind of trickled down to about seven and a half. I think if you could keep Cleveland about eight eight points a better by getting the number at eight or eight and a half. I would keep Cleveland in this game. I think they can keep the game within you know anywhere from four to six point range. What a shot I don’t think they’re going to win the game because the pack is right now it just zoned in and that again that playing great at home. Cleveland is not playing that well on the road. I believe that two and four on the road. But they got a lot of players banged up but I think somehow they’re going to really come into this game to really fight hard in this game just to show you know people out there because it is going to be a nationally televised game so the spotlight will be on them. So I like Cleveland to keep it close sky I’ve seen that it’s gonna be like 39 degrees and snowing 39 degrees you know it’s not bad because you know that that’s not bad if it was in the teens and snowy and you know, the field was nasty, but Cleveland used to that too. Don’t forget Cleveland’s weather team as well. So I don’t think that’s really going to affect either one of these teams is the weather. I think turnovers is going to be the key to a game like this. And if we could get a little turn And I favor that Cleveland. What a turnover or two advantage. I think that’s going to be the difference to keep them in this game against the high potent Aaron Rodgers offense.

I mean, 39 is a heatwave in late December really is it really is. But but you know that we’ll we’ll have to see what happens on that one. We got the second game, which I think is a much more interesting game here. Arizona Cardinals versus the Colts. A line opened up Cardinals. Four and a half mountain now down the minus one total 48 and a half. What’s your take on this one’s right?

Wow, this one this is a marquee. I love this game. It’s gonna be a massive game.

But um, I got an interesting, interesting pick. I’m gonna I’m gonna go with another first stop spread. So the game is minus one right now. And the halftime spread is a pick on basically. So we’re looking at the Colts here. The Colts are Jonathan Taylor is playing his way into the MVP conversation. He leads the league in rush hours now he leads the league in rushing touchdowns. And for everyone who likes the more advanced stats, John Taylor is like, you’re lightyears ahead of everyone in in rushing yards over expectation, every carry. So like, it’s a software and they tell you what you should get. And he’s way ahead of everyone else. They guys playing out of his mind. Um, and if you look back at the coach this season, they have not been losing at halftime since week three. That’s 11 Straight more games where they have led at the half. So I’m going to take the coach the lead here at the half. I think they continue to make it 12 Three, actually, I actually would lean that the Cardinals are going to win the game but I’m going to take a cold tear at that.

That’s an interesting stat dead dry actually. Scott what what’s your take care Arizona calls well talk about two teams going in like opposite directions. This is a perfect scenario. You got one team that sought out seven and I’ll which is the Cardinals, they’ve been falling apart, obviously to some injuries. They lose their best receiver obviously D hop that’s affected Tyler Murray in a big way because teams now with the fencing differently, like they were they couldn’t you can’t really defense D Hawk the guy you know he’s awesome. I mean, he’s a world class receiver, but him out of the lineup. Obviously they’re making substitutes. They’re going you know, AJ green can only do so much. So they’re defending defending Arizona a lot differently, which is making it tougher for Murray. You know, it was easier for him when he had all these extra weapons to take advantage of them by moving the ball on the ground opening up the passing game and having these huge weapons but now a couple of them have banged up and be in effect since he’s lost dt. As I mentioned, it’s really affected the way they’re moving the ball. We are the opposite. The Colts have find a ways to just keep the chains moving with this running game. And Carson Wentz just managing that you know this game is keeping himself consistent. He’s throwing very limited amount interceptions. Last week he was only five for 13 They beat a great patriots team that won seven in a row so he didn’t really have to do much because he just really controlled the game on the ground. And if they can control the game on the ground against Arizona, I think Arizona is going to have problems in this game. The Colts are great as a row dog I was looking at some numbers on the Colts as a Road Dog they’ve won they let their foreign Oh against the spread is a road on the dog you know this see I believe this season the last four times they’ve been a dog they’ve cut they’ve covered you know and won the games. So I really like the Colts in the game just from the momentum standpoint. I’m a numbers guy this game opened up higher I think the smart money guys jumped on this line as soon as this thing came available. I think the short money put in on this game this is not the public just saying oh you know we’re going to jump this game immediately this this number has been creeping down since the number came out. I just think the Colts right now are going in a direction like this where the other team is going like this and it’s a big difference and I think right now the Colts you know unless I’m wrong on this one I think they’re going to go in there and get the job done. And I think they could win this game pretty convincingly because I think they can definitely defense against the Arizona offense and it’s gonna be really hard for that Arizona defense who is not really that great against the run to stop this guy Taylor from moving the ball against them and that’s gonna open up caster Wentz to do his thing. So I like I like the weapons right now the Colts have in this game to get the job done. So I would take the Colts at the plus one and a half. I don’t right now I’m showing between one and one and a half I would jump on the Colts in this game. I think they get the job done. I think they continue their winning ways.

All right, we got a game. Well, there’s a couple of games on Sunday, but we’re gonna look at one and if you want other predictions, you could go to off site online sports bet.com Or you could check out Scott’s Instagram page. This is up in your territory again Scott patriots vs bills that playing up in Foxborough pots are two point favorite 43 and a half one you start off scott, what do you think on the Sunday game?

I just don’t see anything. I don’t see any change. I the first you know the first game. In Buffalo, New England had a perfect game plan. They just took advantage of the ground and pound. They know how to defend against this Josh Allen Bella Bella check and his staff his masterminds at shutting down quarterbacks in key games, especially in the month of December. They find ways to win. It’s always tough to play up in New England, obviously under conditions and going against the Patriots. I think the Patriots are going to absolutely bounce back off that game last week. They didn’t have their best running back would Harris. I believe he’s back for this game. I believe I’m showing I’m not I’m not 100%. Trey Have you got a final report on if Harris will play in this. I don’t I think gametime decision,

gametime decision still. I just think that the New England is this is this is this is the showcase game for Matt Jones. And his rookie season right now. It was the other day in Buffalo. But this game is extremely important to them because they don’t want to lose a couple of games in a row and start moving into week 1617 and 18. And give buffalo an opportunity to come back into that division. I think the Windland at home, they’re going to just grind it out again. They’re going to find ways to you know mix it up play action and running. And I just think they’re going to shut down buffalo. I think buffalo makes some steaks they get frustrated. I think but the way the Patriots scheme will on offense and defense will come into this game is I like New England. I believe that play it. I would get that game. I would leave it at minus two. I feel the winglets right, they’re gonna win this game by a touchdown and more. So jump on to England guys. I think they are the best team in that conference. And I think they’re going to prove it again by when you see what the results are this Sunday.

Dry What’s your take on this one patriots bills?

I have to go against you again, Scott. Well first of all, Scott Scott was talking about how big of a game this is. If the bills win this game, I believe they move in, they take the first place in the AFC East. And if the bills lose, the division is all about wrapped up for for the Patriots. So this is a massive game. I’m gonna take firt my main player is going to be the over I like the over in this game. I think as long as there’s not you know, 50 mile an hour winds like last time, but um, I think Josh Allen, last game for the bills was a GET RIGHT game, where they put up 34 against the Panthers. I think Josh on his back to his normal soap. Oh, put up points as always, and New England is not that far behind when it comes to scoring points. I mean, the bills are fourth in the NFL, they averaged 28.1. And the Pats are our ninth I believe, and they average 26.2. So this is two high scoring teams. And the bills are put up other than that pats game with a 50 mile an hour winds. Yeah, their last three games. They’ve put up 3127 and 31. So I, I like to over here. And I also like to build I would sprinkle the money line. I don’t really see a lot of value in taking the plus two, if you if you can get it to three. If it goes to three before gametime. I would I would take the three. But I like the money line here. As my second play on I just I think Josh on is going to be able to outdo Mike Jones. And I think Shawn McDermott will make adjustments to stop that patch running in. You know, I gotta go ahead, Scott.

No, I’m listening to all those key factors. But you got to remember, you know, when it comes to Bill Belichick and him preparing for certain teams, it seems like he always had it on Peyton Manning over the years. They always you know, Peyton Manning was always coming into Foxborough, with great teams, and he always left with a loose with a loss. And I think this is going to be like the same kind of kind of situation. I just think they’re going to find ways to frustrate Josh Allen. Yeah, he had a great game last week, but he hasn’t really had a consistent run of good games like back to back to back. So yeah, he did play Carolina team with Cam Newton I mean, you know that I can’t really go, in my my opinion by a game like that because they really, you know they were 14 point 15 point favorite in a game. They’re supposed to win games like that if they don’t win games like that they don’t deserve to be in this spot for challenge for the division anyways. But I just think the winglet has just been the most consistent team. Even though they lost that game, they came battle and back, they were down 20 They made a 2217 breakaway touchdown at the end. Yeah, it was 27. But New England finds ways to come back into games. And I think they’ve got to cause they got to really focus on China make it very difficult for Josh Allen, to you know, to move the ball down the field against them. So I just think based on all that and the experience of belcheck against certain quarterbacks and certain teams, it’s gonna it’s going to make it difficult for them to have a really solid game as far as Buffalo goes.

Yes, one more thing. I just it comes down to the quarterbacks for me. Don’t choose me, Josh Allen. I think he’s I think he’s gonna make a statement because he just got snubbed from the promo for Lamar Jackson. I think I believe Alan had more total yards more touchdowns, and he somehow got snow there. I don’t know. I didn’t make it. And I’m, I’m sorry, I’m gonna say it again. I said it. I said it when they played the court. Mack Jones has not proven anything to me. He’s He’s a, he hasn’t proven anything to me.

He definitely did. He definitely didn’t look himself, I gotta give you a definitely give you thumbs on that one. He definitely look himself, he looked a little frustrated. He definitely looked like a rookie in that game for a while. But then he did have poise. And he did stop moving the team down the field in the second half of the game, but it was a little too late. But like I said, it’s gonna be a great game. I’m excited about it. And I think that I like I said, when it’s all said and done, I think you’ll see that the Patriots will get the job done.

Alright, that’s what we like about this show two different opinions. And we’ll have to see what happens tomorrow night. We’re gonna get to our best bets in a second. But we want to talk about this will be I guess, off prop section here and Dre specials wises on props. But Scott, you could chime in here MDP odds what I took I took the four top contenders right now, you got three quarterbacks here not to be you know, surprised that that are Rodgers is the favorite lines could vary depending on where you shop. He’s plus 125 to win the MVP. Then you got of course, Tom Brady. Tom. Terrific. He’s plus 200. Jonathan Taylor. We spoke a lot about him from Indy. Eight to one plus 802 round off the field. And there are others. But this was just the top four I talk. Patrick mahomes for Kc 12 to one dry if you had to pick one or if you want to take a long shot. Would you at this point? Win the MVP?

Yeah, well, looking at these I don’t think Brady is worth a bat at all. I think he’s either too small. And he’s he had that horrible game against against the saints. And he’s just lost his top three weapons. I know he’s getting Antonio Brown back, but he like, I just don’t think he’s worth a bet there. I think Roger is pretty clear. They’re going to win this. I mean, week one yet zero touch on the two interceptions. since week one. He’s had 30 touchdowns and two interceptions. Guys on a tear. He’s on a tear. And they’re the best team in the league right now. They have the best record in the league. I think Johnson Taylor, I don’t think we’re running backs in a winning unless he has a record breaking season, which he’s having an incredible season, but it’s not going to be record breaking unless he has a ridiculous last three games. But I think so I don’t think Jonathan Taylor’s worth a bet either. I think mahomes may be worth a bet. Just in case Rogers. Spotters out here in his last three games, and mahomes finishes winning What 10 straight games to get to 13 and four, that would that would be pretty impressive. So and the voters may have voter fatigue from Rogers last year. So I think your only two viable options are Rogers and a small sprinkle on the homes on the homes is 12 to one so for maybe some of the newbies that are watching this show right now. If you put 100 bucks on mahomes at 12 to one you’re looking at a $1,200 ticket. So that’s those are pretty good numbers. Scott, you want to kick in what what do you think maybe someone else a long shot here or any of these four.

Now this is going to be a favorites. This is going to be a favorites situation. It’s not going to be any long shots here. It’s Aaron Rodgers to lose, flat out at this point. It braiding and lose All those weapons I would think it’s you know, could be very close. Either one because anyone could you know, one of these guys could throw five touchdown 400 yard pass game. Yeah. I just don’t see it going past the top three. I think it’s all Aaron Rodgers at this point to lose. And this guy is just too good. He’s like Dre said he’s in a zone that guy’s just incredible. Only throw two picks since week one, where he threw two picks in the first week. But I don’t even know if his head was in the game with all that stuff going on that on the off season. I think he needed himself to get into the game and all of a sudden since that first week is by by the guys just been locked in. You know, the guy’s amazing 38 years old. The guy the guys just he’s he’s in his own. It’s his to lose. Brady. Probably gonna just stay in this order the way it is right now unless something like Dre said some crazy goals. If John you know John Taylor runs for 200 yards, his next three straight games in a row. Yeah, maybe he can move. And these guys just throw average games, but I don’t see Aaron Rodgers having an average game. He’s not that type of quarterback. He’s actually an above average guy when it comes to performing well towards the end of the year. So I’m thinking Aaron Rodgers wins it at this stage. And close between Brady and Taylor for second and third. Nothing else between it?
