The New York Giants have won and covered three straight games, moving two games over the .500 mark in a very competitive division. On Monday night they will suit up for action against the Cincinnati Bengals in a game where either side will be penalized a great deal with a loss. The Giants spent a lot of money in the off-season to improve the defense, which finished last in the National Football League in 2015. And they have been upgraded, for sure. There have been a lot of injuries in the secondary, but one of the new acquisitions certainly stands out. Janoris Jenkins is a Pro Bowl-level cover corner, and he’ll have a big assignment on Monday night as he takes on AJ Green, who leads the league with 59 catches and has almost 900 yards in connections with Dalton. One of the other New York defenders who has really risen to the occasion is safety Landon Collins, who will have Eifert as one of his responsibilities. Collins leads this team in sacks with three. That is a statement about how disappointing the front seven has been in getting to the passer.

The Giants will have to at least try to run the football, and they believe that rookie Paul Perkins has a high ceiling. But that has to fall into the “wait and see” category.
