Bengals Host Bills For Sunday Night Football
In a rematch of last year’s AFC Divisional Round matchup, the Buffalo Bills and Cincinnati Bengals will face-off in a highly anticipated midseason matchup. The Bills began the season as Super Bowl favorites, and with a 5-3 record they are doing well, but Buffalo has been wildly inconsistent this season. They beat the division leading Dolphins by 28 points, only to lose to the Jaguars the following week. The Bills then barely beat the 1-5 Giants, only to lose to the 2-5 Patriots the next game.
Buffalo now faces the Cincinnati Bengals, who after a horribly slow start, have now won 3-straight and are playing the Bengals football we are used to seeing. Cincinnati is 4-3, but had a statement win over the 49ers last week, beating the NFC favorites 31-17. Quarterback Joe Burrow had a great game, and the 2020 first overall pick is finally looking like his old self again. This week however, Burrow goes up against another great quarterback in Josh Allen. Allen’s averaging over 270 passing yards per game and has 22 total touchdowns (17 passing, 5 rushing) in just 8 games.
I am expecting a lot of offense in this one, so I’m going with the over. The O/U total is set at 50.5 points. The Bills are averaging 27.8 points per game, while the Bengals have averaged 27.3 points over their 3-game winning streak. If both teams hit those averages, they’ll hit the over. This is going to be a back-and-forth shootout between two heavyweights, so get ready for a lot of points.
So for our Bills vs. Bengals expert pick, take the Over on 50.5 points (-110) for Sunday night’s matchup.
