As crazy as this 2019 NFL season has been all year, we have two of the better teams in the league going head-to-head Sunday afternoon in a must-see game.

In a rematch of Super Bowl LII, the New England Patriots will be on the road to take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Both of these teams are fresh off a bye week, so they will hopefully be able to trot out the best versions of their teams.

The Patriots seem to have a stranglehold on the AFC East, while the Eagles are still fighting against the Cowboys in the NFC East. We will be breaking down the matchup between these two teams and helping you determine your best bets.

Patriots at Eagles Overview

The Patriots were undefeated until the last game before their bye week, when Lamar Jackson and the Ravens completely dismantled everything about their lights-out defense.

New England found itself looking for another wide receiver and traded for Mohammed Sanu before the deadline, who looked terrific in his debut, hauling in his first touchdown as a Patriot. Look for Sanu on the outside to have a monster game.

The Eagles have been up and down all season long, but they have been hampered by injuries. Carson Wentz has looked spectacular through all of the injuries, and he has been able to make the Eagles offensive players better even if they aren’t stars.

Wentz will be looking all game to hook up with his tight end Zach Ertz, who is the leading receiver for this Philadelphia offense through nine games.

The Eagles secondary finally appears to be healthy, and that is something they have been missing and will be thankful for, especially with all of the different receivers Tom Brady loves throwing to.

The Patriots are the better team in this game, so it is no surprise that our friends at BetAnySports have them favored on the road at -3.5 over Philadelphia.

Patriots at Eagles Free Game Prediction

Even though the Eagles’ record is much worse than the Patriots, I think Philly still has a good chance in this game to take their number.

I think the key to the Eagles’ success will be on the backs of Miles Sanders and Jordan Howard in the backfield, and if both of them are ready to have a big day rushing the ball, the Patriots are in trouble.

Take Philadelphia in this matchup and be ready for that backfield to explode.
