Monday Night Football Will Feature Packers Versus Raiders
The Green Bay Packers are 2-2 after winning, then losing, then winning, then losing. If the pattern continues, we can chalk up a win for the Packers! But it’s never that easy in the NFL. The Packers will face the 1-3 Las Vegas Raiders, who are coming off 3-straight losses and desperately need a win
Jimmy Garoppolo was out week 4, and the Raiders lost 17-24 to the Chargers with Aidan O’Connell under center, but Jimmy is expected to be back for Monday’s matchup. However, even with Garoppolo as quarterback, the Raiders offense has been stagnant. They rank 26th in yards per game (281.8) and 26th in points per game (15.5), with a stagnant rushing attack that averages 65.3 yards per game.
I like the Packers in this one. They’re dealing with some injuries, but under new quarterback Jordan Love, Green Bay has looked good. They’ve suffered a few losses, but against a Raiders defense that’s allowing 337.0 total yards and 25.3 points per game, Love and the Packers will thrive. The Packers defense isn’t great at defending the run, but Las Vegas struggles to move the ball on the ground, and will likely turn on their passing game. The Packers have a great passing defense, allowing 197.3 yards per game, and the Raiders wide receivers will struggle to find space down field.
So for our Packers vs. Raiders expert pick, take the Green Bay Packers Moneyline (+114) on Monday night.
