As the NFL regular season draws to a close, teams are going to start tightening up, and matchups are going to be as important as ever.

Some teams are out of the playoff race officially, but that doesn’t mean they are going to roll over for everybody else.

The Minnesota Vikings are headed west to take on the Los Angeles Chargers. The Vikings offense has not been as prolific as it once was, and they will face a tough Chargers defense.

With that being said, let’s break down the matchup between these two teams and help you determine where to put your money.

Vikings at Chargers Overview

The Vikings come into this game sitting as the fifth seed in the NFC playoffs and behind Green Bay in the NFC North.

They have arguably the best running back in the league in Dalvin Cook, and they have big-play potential all over the field.

Utah-at-Arizona

The Vikings might be one of the most complete teams in the league, but it all hinges on whether or not Kirk Cousins shows up in these matchups.

The Chargers have newfound life but are almost completely out of the postseason at this point of the season.

Philip Rivers looked revitalized last week against Jacksonville, especially after hooking up with Austin Ekeler for an 84-yard touchdown.

Ekeler and Melvin Gordon have been the best one-two punch out of the backfield that any team can have, and the two of them can make any defense sweat.

The Chargers do play in the smallest stadium in the league, and their home-field advantage is not all that great.

If Cousins comes out hot in this one early, it might be over pretty fast. To the Chargers’ credit, they have always found a way to stay in these games.

The Vikings draw the favorite on the road at -2.5 from our friends at BetAnySports. The Vikings are the more complete team and have played better all season long, so this is no surprise.

Vikings at Chargers Free Game Prediction

The Vikings may have drawn the favorite in this one, but I think the Chargers find a way to get it done on the back of Gordon.

Gordon and Ekeler will break out for big yardage in this game, and I think Rivers will lead his team on a game-winning drive in the fourth quarter to seal the deal.

Take the Chargers and make sure to lock in your bets before kickoff!
