Ok, let’s get to the Raiders vs Cowboys expert analysis.

Both of these teams limp into today’s Turkey Day game off tough losses on Sunday. The banged-up Cowboys were held to a season-low 9 points in a loss to Kansas City. That was the team’s second loss in three games and dropped them to 7-3, while the Raiders laid an egg once again on Sunday at home against the Bengals, losing their third game in a row to drop to 5-5 on the season after starting with a promising 3-0 record.

Despite failing to score a TD last week in KC and being held to 20 points or less for the third time in four games, Dallas remains Number 1 in the NFL in total yards per game and also ranks third in scoring with 29.3 points per game. But the team has cluster injuries at the wide receiver position and they showed how much that hurt them on Sunday against the Chiefs.

Without wide receivers CeeDee Lamb and Amari Cooper, the Boys have nobody on the outside to stretch the field, which not only hampers the passing game, but also hurts the running game and limits the effectiveness of the play action. The Raiders defense has been very average this season, but one thing this team can do is rush the passer and they’ll be able to pin their ears back and come at Dak Prescott today without those deep threats.

As for the Las Vegas offense, the only way to describe it right now is complete disarray. During the current three-game losing skid, Dallas has averaged just 14.3 points per game, and this coincides with the loss of their own outside deep threat, WR Henry Ruggs, who was cut after his tragic DUI incident.

Bottom line here: We have two offenses that started the season piling up points and total yards, but in recent weeks have fizzled, yet the oddsmaker is still pricing this game like they are the two offenses we saw early in the season.

So, for our Thanksgiving Day Raiders vs Cowboys picks, let’s take advantage of an inflated number and go under the total of 51.5 points.
