In the 2019 NFL season, the NFC has become an absolute bloodbath in the fight for the playoffs. It looks like double-digit wins are going to be required for a Wild Card spot.

There is still one weak division in the NFC, which happens every year, and that is the NFC East. It is still unclear if the Philadelphia Eagles or Dallas Cowboys are going to come out on top, as they both currently sit at 5-4.

This Sunday will feature the Cowboys on the road heading into Detroit to take on the Lions without Matthew Stafford.

We’ve got all of the coverage of this game, and we will help you determine your best bets.

Cowboys at Lions Overview

The Cowboys were featured on Sunday Night Football last week, losing to the Vikings at home. Dak Prescott was incredible even in the loss, hitting Amari Cooper all over the field.

Of course, when the Cowboys lose, everyone has to question the coaching staff. There were some questionable plays at the end, specifically on the last drive, but the real problem is Ezekiel Elliott has not been as huge in playmaking as he was in taking money this offseason.

Cooper has been having an incredible season, and I think he is the highlight going against the shaky Lions secondary that gives up almost 300 yards passing a game.

For Detroit, just about everyone is injured. Jeff Driskel stepped up in place of Stafford last week but was not able to make the winning plays necessary to beat Chicago.

I really like the Lions’ receiving corps, though, and I think that the receivers are good enough to make plays to make Driskel better than he actually is.

Particularly, I think the biggest focus for the Cowboys will be Kenny Golladay. Golladay has been electric on the outside and has the ability to make a game-changing play every time he touches the ball.

Stafford has been confirmed to have broken bones in his back but is still questionable for the contest. As it stands, our friends at BetAnySports have the Cowboys as 6.5-point favorites for this game.

Stafford playing could have a dramatic impact on the line.

Let’s face it, both of these teams have underperformed this season, and it really seems like a coin toss for who is going to win.

But I think regardless of Stafford playing, Prescott will be able to throw the ball all over the field, and I’m taking the Cowboys -6.5 in this contest.
