Commanders Start Slow

Tonight the Washington Commanders will take on the Carolina Panthers. These are two teams kind of rebuilding phases as they enter new areas of quarterback play. For the Carolina Panthers that new era of quarterback play is led by Sam Darnold and baker Mayfield. Reports coming out of Carolina say that Baker Mayfield has the inside track to getting the starting job as he has just looked better than Sam Darnold during training camp. This was expected as Carolina traded for him less than a month ago in hopes that he could be the quarterback of the future. He has proven that he could take a team to the playoffs and even win a playoff game. Expect both these quarterbacks to get some playing time in tonight‘s game which is why they are favored having experienced quarterbacks starting for them. 

On the Washington commanders side of the football their new era is one that has them changing from their old name of Redskins and also bringing in veteran Carson Wentz who many either love or hate. Personally I think once is an upgrade at quarterback from their quarterback play last year so expect that offense to be better and expect a growing connection between Carson Wentz and his new receivers Terry McClaurin and rookie draft pick Jahan Dotson. Dotson is a name to watch as reports out of the commanders training camp or that he has really impressed. 

All in all this is a preseason game between two teams that have decent second and third string units but since the Panthers are expected to have better quarterbacks playing for a longer time expect them to get the win.
