Colts and Texans Battle For The Postseason
The Indianapolis Colts will host their division rivals the Houston Texans in a bid to claim both the AFC South and a spot in the playoffs. At 9-7, the Colts and Texans are neck-and-neck. They faced each other in week 2, and the Colts won 31-20, but both Indianapolis and Houston are not the same team as they were when the season started.
Houston’s rookie quarterback CJ Stroud developed quickly, is now considered one of the best passers in the NFL, and will almost certainly win Rookie of the Year. On the other side, Gardner Minshew has been quarterbacking the Colts since week 3, and has quietly led Indianapolis to 8 wins while averaging 23.2 points per game (10th).
Houston and Indianapolis are two evenly matched sides, and this is going to be a hard-fought, tightly contested matchup, but I’m going with the Indianapolis Colts to win the game. Houston has C.J. Stroud back, but the Texans receiving corps has been decimated. Rookie Tank Dell is on IR, Noah Brown is out, and veteran Robert Woods is questionable, leaving Nico Collins as the only real threat downfield. Stroud will also be under fire all game, as the Colts have the 5th-most sacks (49), and the 7th-most QB hits. Home field advantage is always a plus, and the Colts will take care of business at home.
So for our Texans vs. Colts expert pick, take the Indianapolis Colts Moneyline (+100) on Saturday.
