Carolina Panthers Overview
The Panthers, led by Head Coach Matt Rhule, head into Sunday’s game hoping to see a brighter year in 2021. They’ve made significant moves in the offseason to increase their chances of becoming a winning team. One of the most significant moves they made was the addition of Sam Darnold. We should see a heavy dose of Darnold on Sunday, followed by P.J Walker. There is also a chance, although small, we’ll see a little bit from Christian McCaffrey.

The likely running back taking most of the load instead of McCaffrey will be Chuba Hubbard, the rookie from Oklahoma. Hubbard’s a strong running back and should be able to handle the load well. Considering this will be a test of Rhule’s head coaching ability, we should see a ton of offense on Sunday. Rhule’s looking to carve a place out for him in the organization and a good season should do exactly that. He definitely doesn’t want a repeat of the 5-11, 2020 season.

Indianapolis Colts Overview

The Colts are down a laundry list of players for Sunday’s game. The most important player missing for Sunday’s game is Carson Wentz, the quarterback Indianapolis brought in after losing Phillip Rivers to retirement. Wentz looks to be on track to make it back in time for the regular-season opener which means Jacob Eason will get the start on Sunday.

Eason’s been looking for a way to prove himself ever since being drafted last season. In Sunday’s game versus the Panthers, he’ll have a chance to do so. There will also be a couple of guards and linemen missing from the game on Sunday too, so Eason better be light on his feet.
