The Cleveland Browns are currently 2-1 on the season after winning at home last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers by a final score of 29-17. In that game, quarterback Jacoby Brissett led the team in passing with 220 yards and two touchdowns. His performance was solid for the Browns and he made big plays late in the game to secure the win. Running back Nick Chubb led the Browns in rushing yards with 113 yards and one touchdown. Besides Chubb and Brissett, wide receiver Amari Cooper and tight end David Njoku had great performances for the Browns. Cooper caught 7 passes for 101 and one touchdown while Njoku caught 9 passes for 89 yards and one touchdown as well. The Browns did a great job of controlling this game as they had about 10 more minutes of possession compared to the Steelers in this game. However, earlier this week the Browns star defensive player Myles Garrett was involved in a car accident where he sustained non-life threatening injuries. He will be out for the Browns in this one and his absence might affect the performance of the defense.

The Atlanta Falcons head into this game with a record of 1-2 after a clutch road win last week against the Seattle Seahawks where they won by a final score of 27-23. In that game, quarterback Marcus Mariota had a solid performance as he led the team in passing yards with 229 yards and threw a touchdown and rushed for one. Unfortunately for his stat line, he did throw an interception and lose a fumble but that can be overlooked as they won the game. Running back Cordarelle Patterson had a monster game as he rushed for 141 yards and one touchdown. Tight end Kyle Pitts led the team in receiving yards with 87 yards on 5 receptions. Rookie wide receiver Drake London has been a bright spot for the Falcons the season as he has been able to score touchdowns in 2 straight games. The Falcons are fortunate that Garrett will be unable to play in this game as he would have been very disruptive in both the passing and rushing game.

I think this game will be close and won by which team has the most rushing yards. The Browns have the better rushing offense but the Falcons have a stud in Patterson and he might be able to create scoring opportunities on his own. With that being said, I do think that there won’t be many points scored as both of these quarterbacks are not franchise players and are bridge quarterbacks for the time being.
