Burrow-less Bengals Take On The Jags
It’s been a disappointing season for the Cincinnati Bengals. After winning the AFC North back-to-back seasons (2021 & 2022), the Bengals are now last in the division with a 5-6 record. Cincinnati’s franchise quarterback, Joe Burrow, is out for the year with a wrist injury, giving the Bengals little hope of making the playoffs. Jake Browning has taken over as the Bengals quarterback, but his first outing did not go well. Under Browning, the Bengals offense looked stale, and they suffered their 3rd-straight loss. Cincy will look to bounce back in week 13, but face the 8-3 Jacksonville Jaguars who are hunting for the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
I’m going with the Jaguars in this one. Over the last 2 weeks the Jags offense has been humming, averaging 29.0 points and 417.0 total yards per game. Cincinnati’s offense on the other hand, has come to a screeching halt without Joe Burrow under center. The Bengals defense has also struggled, allowing 389.3 total yards per game, the 2nd-most in the NFL. To make matters worse, Cincinnati’s star cornerback, Cam Taylor-Britt, has been ruled out for Monday’s contest, leaving a massive hole in an already vulnerable Bengals secondary. Trevor Lawerance and the Jaguars will face little resistance on Monday, leaving the Bengals to suffer their 4th straight loss.
So for our Bengals vs. Jaguars expert prop pick, take the Jacksonville Jaguars to Cover (-9) on Monday.
