Ok, let’s get to the Expert Predictions for tonight’s Monday Night Football Game where, for all intents and purposes, we have a playoff game for Pittsburgh, because if they lose this game they will not be going to the postseason. The Steelers come in off an embarrassing 36-10 loss at Kansas City last week and the team is now 2-4-1 in its last seven games, dropping their record to 7-7-1.

Tonight may very well be the last home game for future Hall of Fame quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, whose contract with the Black and Gold expires at the end of the season. Speaking of Big Ben, he has absolutely owned the Browns in his career, going 29-6-1 against the divisional rival, including a 19-1 mark at home.

One of those wins came earlier this season on Halloween when the Steelers beat the Browns in Cleveland, 15-10, as a five-point dog. That marked the fourth time in the last five meetings that the Steelers have taken home the cash in this series and we think that dominance continues tonight.

The Browns have battled hard the last two weeks, losing two games by a total of four points to the Raiders and Packers, but there is no way a team with this many problems and with an offense that has scored 23 points or less in eight of its last 10 games should be laying a field goal on the road, especially when you consider that the Steelers have covered 33 of their last 52 games as an underdog, and that includes an 18-6 ATS record when listed as a home dog.

The Steelers defense also tends to play with a real chip on its shoulder the week after being embarrassed, going 6-0 both straight up and against the spread in games after allowing 35 points or more under Head Coach Mike Tomlin.

With Big Ben playing his last home game and the season on the line, Heinz Field will be in a frenzy tonight and we don’t think Baker Mayfield and the Browns are up to the task of going on the road and winning in a hostile environment.

Take the Steelers plus the points in Monday Night Football and go ahead and sprinkle a little bit on the money line, as well.
