Week 14 kicks off with a Thursday night matchup between the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers. The Patriots are having the worst season we’ve ever seen in the Belichick era. New England is 2-10 and enters tomorrow’s contest on a 5-game losing streak. The Steelers on the other hand, are in the hunt for the wild card with a 7-5 record. Pittsburgh is favored to beat the downtrodden Patriots, but the Steelers will be without their starting quarterback against New England’s aggressive defense. Here we will help you navigate the odds and provide helpful betting tips so that you walk away with a great payout in this Patriots vs. Steelers matchup.

Patriots vs. Steelers: Best Player Prop

T.J. Watt, Steelers LB, Over 0.75 Sacks (-160)

T.J. Watt is one of the most dominant defensive players in the NFL. Watt has the 2nd-most sacks in the league (14), which equates to 1.2 sacks per game. He alone has over 40% of the Steelers total sacks (34), and on Thursday night he’ll face one of the worst offenses in the NFL. The Patriots, averaging a lowly 12.3 points per game, have been hard to watch this season.

New England’s quarterback room is a complete disaster. In the last 3 weeks, the Patriots recorded 159.7 passing yards per game, found the endzone just once, and allowed 12 total sacks. On the season, the Patriots have allowed 30 total sacks (2.5 per game), and now face T.J. Watt and the Steelers. Watt is in line for a huge defensive game on Thursday, and I don’t see how the Patriots can slow him down.

My advice, take the Over on T.J. Watt’s 0.75 sack prop. This bet is priced at -160, which means you can risk $160 to win $100, for a total payout of $260, if T.J. Watt records at least 1 sack.

Patriots vs. Steelers Game Predictions

Take the Pittsburgh Steelers to win the game. It’s the battle of the backup quarterbacks, so don’t expect an offensive explosion, but I do expect the Steelers to walk away with the win. The Patriots are downright awful this season, and with Bailey Zappe now in line to take over as quarterback, it seems New England has already thrown in the towel. But for the Steelers, this is an important game. Pittsburgh is in the hunt for a playoff berth, but at 7-5 they can’t afford to lose, especially against bottom-tier teams like the Patriots, and the Steelers will treat this matchup as a must-win.

Moneyline Pick: Pittsburgh Steelers (-258)

ATS Pick: New England Patriots (+6)

O/U Pick: Under (30)

Prediction: Patriots 10; Steelers 14
