NFL Week 18: Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7) vs. Baltimore Ravens (13-3)

The game starts at 4:30 PM EST in Baltimore’s M&T Bank Stadium. The Moneyline has the Ravens as +150 underdogs and the Steelers as favorites at -178. The O/U total is 35.0, and the Spread is 3.0 points.

Baltimore Will Bench Starters Against Pittsburgh

The Baltimore Ravens have clinched the top spot in the AFC. At 13-3, the Ravens are guaranteed the No. 1 seed, and the bye, in the first round of the postseason, which means Baltimore can treat their Week 18 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers as little more than a formality. The Steelers on the other hand, will look to secure an AFC Wild-Card spot with a win over the Ravens. Pittsburgh’s situation is simple, win and they’re in.

Because the Ravens are benching their starters, I’m going with the Pittsburgh Steelers in this one. Baltimore has nothing to play for, no more regular season boxes to check, and there’s no reason to risk the health of one of their key players right before the playoffs. Pittsburgh doesn’t have the luxury of knowing their postseason future, so they can’t afford to take it easy. That means it’ll be the Steelers starters versus Baltimore’s backups. In that battle, I’d go with the starters.  

So for our Steelers vs. Ravens expert pick, take the Pittsburgh Steelers to Cover (-3) on Saturday.
