Texans vs. Colts Game Predictions
In what is essentially a playoff game, I am going with the Houston Texans to sneak away with the win. For either team to make the playoffs, they need the Jacksonville Jaguars to lose, but since the Colts and Texans play on Saturday and the Jaguars don’t play until Sunday, we won’t know the fate of the AFC South until after Jacksonville’s game against the Titans. That makes things simple for the Colts and Texans though, win and they could be in. It will be a hard fought, tightly contested matchup, as the season is on the line for Indy and Houston, two teams who never thought they’d be here at the start of the season.
Houston has the edge because of their rookie QB C.J. Stroud. Stroud has been phenomenal this season, recording 3,844 yards (9th), 21 touchdowns (T-13th), and just 5 interceptions. Not every game has been pretty, but due to some standout performances, including a 470 yard, 5 touchdown outing in Week 9, Stroud has cemented himself as one of the best rookie quarterbacks of all-time. Stroud knows what to do with the ball, as he completed 11 of 14 games without a turnover, and against a Colts defense that’s allowing 224.8 passing yards per game, Houston’s rookie QB is in line for a big day.
