AFC North Battle in Cincy kicks off season for both teams
The Steelers are coming off of a very eventful offseason. After 18 years with the team Ben Roethlisberger retired and the Steelers entered a new era. They drafted QB Kenny Pickett out of Pittsburgh to hopefully replace him. He will not be starting though as the Steelers have decided to go with their veteran free agent pick up Mitchell Trubisky.
The Bengals are coming off one of the most surprising seasons in recent memory. After the majority of “experts” predicted that the Bengals wouldn’t win more than five games they went all the way to the Super Bowl. They are running it back with a lot of the players from last year and an improved offensive line.
The Bengals should be favored by more here. The line is already starting to move their way and that is for good reason. These two teams played last year twice and the Steelers had no answer for the Bengals rushing attack. The Bengals won game one 24-10 and game two 41-10 behind Joe Mixon’s combined 255 yards and two touchdowns on 46 carries. I expect a lot of the same here. The Steelers are still offensively challenged and will struggle to keep their defense on the field. Mixon and this Bengals offensive line will wear down the Steelers and control the clock and the score.
So for our Steelers vs. Bengals expert pick take the Bengals -6.5
