OK, let’s get to our Super Bowl Prop Best Bets.
Super Bowl Sunday provides thousands of ways to bet the games with a plethora of different proposition bets made available. One of those derivative markets, includes team totals and today we’ll take a look at the over/under for the Rams.
Of course, LA is the favorite in this game and their team total has been set at 26.5 points. If you look at the Rams entire season, they have scored 27 points or more in 11 out of the 20 games they have played, but the Rams will be facing a Bengals defense that allowed 27 points or more just four times in 20 games this season. In fact, since their bye week on November 14, the Bengals have allowed just two teams in 11 games to get up and over 26.5 points and overall have limited opponents to 21 points per game during that time frame.
Ironically, during this same time frame, the Rams have become much more reliant on their running game. In their three playoff games, LA has thrown the ball just 51% of the time, compared to 60% for the entire season.
With all of that said, we fully expect Sean McVay to come out with a similar run-first offensive approach and keep QB Matthew Stafford out of obvious passing downs. This kind of game plan will shorten the game so we think this team total is a shade too high, so for our Super Bowl Prop Bets Bet, let’s play under the total of 26.5 for the LA Rams.
