11 Game Penalty | Eagles vs Browns | OSB
11 Game Penalty
The Philadelphia Eagles travel to Cleveland to play against the Browns at FirstEnergy Stadium on August 21st at 1:00 pm. This will be the second game both of these teams play in the preseason. The Eagles lost their first game last week to the New York Jets on a game-winning touchdown. The Browns won last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars and will hope to repeat this result. This week has been eventful for the Browns as they found out their newly acquired quarterback, Deshaun Watson will be suspended for 11 games. During preseason, players are still fighting for a position on the final 52-man roster, so expect to see everyone at their best. Caesars Casino & Sportsbook has the match result odds at -140 Philadelphia and +120 Cleveland. Additionally, the over/under total points for the game is set at 35.5 with the over and under both being -110. New users will receive a Risk-Free Bet of up to $1500 on their first wager.
The Cleveland Browns found offensive success last week against the Jaguars. After starting the second quarter down by 13 points, they were able to score 24 unanswered points and win by a score of 24-13. Although Deshaun Watson played for the Browns, his performance was disappointing. He completed only one pass out of five attempts and had a quarterback rating below 40. They received a lot of offensive help from quarterback Joshua Dobbs who threw for over 100 yards and one touchdown and had a quarterback rating of 126. Their defense was also able to play a big role for the Browns as they were able to force three turnovers in the game. After a week of talk about Watson’s suspension, it will be interesting to see how the Browns perform in this game.
The Eagles will hope to have a better result in this game against the Browns. They started the game off strong and were up 14-0 to start the second quarter. They started quarterback Jalen Hurts and had an awesome first drive for the team. He completed all seven of his passes and threw a touchdown for a perfect quarterback rating of 158.3. The Eagles have not yet announced what players will be inactive for this game but if Hurts does play he will be a force to deal with for the Browns defense. Quarterbacks Gardner Minshew and Reid Sinnett played after Hurts was taken out of the game. They both threw for 81 yards and had quarterback ratings of 85. The Eagles defense was able to force the Jets to commit one turnover but it wasn’t enough for them to get a win. In this game against the Browns, the defense will need to have another strong outing if they want to win.
I believe this will be a high-scoring game as both of these teams’ quarterbacks are solid. If the Eagles want to win this game, they need to start off like they did on offense last game but need to do a better job of controlling the game. The Browns will be without Watson and although his performance last week was underwhelming, his presence is still important. This game is important for both teams and whoever wins will get a confidence boost heading into the final game of the preseason.
For our expert Philadelphia Eagles vs Cleveland Browns prediction take the over on the 35.5 total points scored in the game.
