We have a Pac-12 vs Big-10 matchup in tonight’s Las Vegas Bowl and that’s all you need to know for this game concerning which team played the more difficult schedule. Coming out of the Big 10, the Badgers faced the seventh-toughest schedule in the nation and they really struggled in the early part of the season, losing three of their first four games. But Wisconsin finally got its act together to win seven of its last eight games and finish with a respectable 8-4 record. The team is led by the nation’s Number 1 rated defense, holding opponents to just 241 points per game and 4 yards per play.
As for Arizona State, they come out of the Pac 12 where they played the 58th most-difficult schedule of opponents, leading to an 8-4 record. This is a bad match-up for the Sun Devils as they like to run the ball. ASU will not only be going up against a Wisconsin “D” that allows just 2.2 yards per carry, but they’ll be doing so without their top running back as 1,000-yard rusher Rachaad White opted out of this game to get ready for the NFL Draft.
