OK, let’s get to our analysis of the Toledo vs Ball State Prediction.
Simply put, the Toledo Rockets are on fire. The team comes into tonight’s game riding an 9-game winning streak and has won 11 of its last 13 games to improve to 18-4 overall and in first place of the MAC Standings at 10-1.
The Rockets have been led by an offense that is the best in the MAC with 80 points per game and they also do a great job of defending the glass, as they rank sixth in the entire country in defensive rebounding.
One of their wins during the current 9-game winning streak came at home against Ball State on January 18. The Rockets prevailed in that game, 83-70, barely covering the 12 points spread.
But since that loss, Ball State has played much better, winning three out of four games and they have done so by scoring an average of 79.3 points per game in those three wins.
Having said that, we think this is a great spot to call for a high-scoring game and bet the over. Ball State has gone over the total in 21 of their last 27 home games against winning teams and overall they are 15-7 to the over in their last 22 games on this floor.
Because of their high-flying offense, the Rockets have also been an “over” machine as of late, going over the total in four straight and in six of their last eight games.
In the first meeting the two teams combined for 153 points, even though Ball State hit just 8 of 28 three-point attempts. Expect a better showing from behind the arc tonight from the Cardinals.
