Thanks to a three-game winning streak, the Tar Heels enter Senior Night tonight with a chance at an ACC regular season title. They will need help elsewhere, of course, but a win tonight against visiting Syracuse will keep them alive for a piece of the crown.
As for the Orangmen, Jim Boeheim’s crew has been scuffling all season and after losing two in a row and falling to 15-14 overall, it’s no guarantee that they’ll be heading to the Big Dance, but a win on Tobacco Road against North Carolina would most certainly help their case.
Aside from the win-loss records, when we look at the statistical match-up between these two teams they are very evenly matched. Both teams rank in the top 30 in the nation in scoring and both have struggled on defense, allowing over 72 points per game.
