Houston and Arizona go into this game as almost a pick ’em. The books think the 5 seeded Cougars will put up a good fight here as they are only 1.5 point underdogs in this game.
Arizona has won eight straight games and 17 out of the last 18. They’re still just slightly behind Kansas and tied on some books to come out as the national champions this year. This means that the books still like Arizona and still favor them as a better team overall.
Houston is playing good ball right now coming off of a blowout win of the four seeded Illinois Fighting Illini. I think Illinois was a bit of a faker and this win doesn’t prove much to me in terms of how good Houston is as a basketball team.
