Superbowl 56 Preview | Picks and Prediction 

All right, Tommy D back here with another show bet the edge. This is Friday, February 11. And this is going to be our Super Bowl 56 Special Edition, or we’re going to be talking about on this show is the Superbowl. And we got a lot to talk about here in less than 72 hours. Let me bring in my co host, Mr. Scott Matthews Scott, what’s going on my friend?

Just do me Tommy I like it. It’s like the old days we’re gonna rock him soccer robot

with me and we get they got the two best here and we’re gonna get right into it. Everyone wants to see what’s happening with this with this big game here. As we know kickoff 630 in Los Angeles, a lot of celebrities are going to be at this game. A lot of parties are going on in LA. But we’re not here to talk about that. We’re here to talk about how you can make some money on this game. Looks like the line is holding at 448 and a half. You think this is gonna move Scott?

No, I don’t think so. I think we’re locked into a pretty solid line here. It kind of stayed right? Right, like this four and a half, you saw one point. Never saw three and a half anyway, I think the line is pretty solid. They’re going to you know, they’re going to keep it probably locked right around. It could go you know, it could move a half a point maybe between now and game time, one way or another. But I think we’re at a pretty solid number at four on this game. I think that’s about the right number to make on a game like this. And I don’t see much movement at all, to be honest with you Tommy on this number.

I tend to agree I mean, the halftime line is rams minus 323 and a half. We’ll talk a little about that. Couple of interesting stats here and then we’re going to get right into the predictions here. I mean, a lot of ways to look at this game. These are Phortse teams that got in neither quarterback has Super Bowl experience. That’s number one here. I mean the Bengals have covered six out of the last seven games. All right four out of the added as seven losses or less than three points this year. They have five and oh last five games as an underdog and six and oh ATS against teams with a winning record. So Bengals are coming into this game with what a lot of ammunition. What do you think about that? I mean, PPE people say, you know rams are are more of a shoo in. But I don’t know, I mean, we’re not going to get out the actual pick on this show. We’re going to tell everyone how you can get the odd picks on the Super Bowl. But Bengals have some interesting numbers behind them.

Well, you got to look at a game like this. It is interesting all around because I don’t think there’s been too number four seats that have really matched up against each other in the Super Bowl for quite some time if I can recall. And not only that, but there’s no real standout like per se like usually, you know when like you can see like certain teams, these teams are both playing, you know, pretty extremely well football right now, both of them. So this game is definitely one of those type of games. That’s interesting to say the least, I believe my staff and myself have done an incredible job on this game. And I just feel this is going to be one of the biggest bets. I’m personally making on a Super Bowl in over 10 years. I’ve been talking about that since last week. I love the game itself. There’s other factors in this game, but the game itself, to me is one of the best values I’ve seen in 10 years. So I’m definitely going to be jumping on this game like never before. And my record in the soup bowls over the years has been outstanding. But yeah, to answer your question. No experience on either quarterback obviously borrows only in a second year. He really, really his first year because he only played, you know, a limited amount of games last year when he got injured. 

He was out the rest of the season, came back this year. Took his team obviously, they just uplifted them and took them right to the Super Bowl, which is incredible. But Matt Stafford, you know, he’s always been playing with these terrible teams with Detroit for all those years. He finally caught a break goes out to LA and now in his first year takes the Rams to the Super Bowl. So you got to have good players around you to do that. It’s not just about Stafford and borrow. Everyone thinks that yeah, oh, yeah, of course.

They’re the main factors because they’re the quarterback so obviously they get all the press and all the highlights. But you know, there’s a lot of weapons on both these teams. It’s going to be an exciting game. I’m looking forward to it. So check out the site online sports betting calm. Alright, let’s look at the first half Scott minus three Rams 23 and a half. Wait, where do you see where you put your money on the first half?

You know, I’m I’m a little nervous about the first half because I gotta be honest with you all the things we just talked about the inexperienced quarterbacks’ first time Cincinnati being a Super Bowl since the 90s. The Rams you know, they were there recently, but a different quarterback a different, you know, same system. Obviously, they lost to New England in that game, they only split three points 13 to three. Sean McVeigh is a head coach and an assistant I believe he’s like one in four in Super Bowls in his career. So the first half of this game is going to be like I feel it’s gonna be like, like a boxing match, almost, they got to kind of look at go after each other in certain ways, see who’s vulnerable, who’s not vulnerable. 

So I could see the first half of this game being tight, I could really see this game being tight. And I could see some things coming up that make my properties a little more interesting, which we’ll discuss in a minute. But I could see the first half of this game being a tight game. Just feeling I’ll process to see what’s going on. Obviously, the games in the backyard for the rams that can be a little added pressure, and little nerves on them to being around, you know, a lot of family and friends and stuff like that. I think the Bengals are just going to go in there like workmanship though, what they’ve been doing find a way whether they’re up or down to you know, stay in games, but I think the first half has the potential to be a low scoring first half.

 Now they can open this thing up like crazy. And the second half, but I think there’s going to be some things in the first half to keep this game as a low-scoring type of game. Under that, was it you say? Was it 2423?

One last time I checked 23 and a half. So you you would you would tend to look at the on the for the first half, you’re saying

I would look at it from the standpoint that I think this could be a little process and nervous process. And like I said these teams not being in the Super Bowl, and there could be some judges there and stuff like that. I think eventually, you know, the whole teams will get it together do what they got to do. But I could see the first half. There’s some interesting things that happen to keep the game from not being that many points in it.

All right, I’m going to give out a prop right now. And then I have another property that I’m going to let Scott talk about some props. I found this one earlier in the week, might have mentioned it on one of our earliest shows, but I think the rams are going to put pressure on Joe burrow. Joe burrow is a great quarterback but it is his second year, never been to the big game, they put pressure on him the real good chance he’s going to throw an interception. Alright, he’s thrown a lot of interceptions during the regular season. So you can get I believe it’s minus 160 that Joe borrow throws at least one interception. And I think in that game, you’ll see him being rushed a lot of pressure, he’s just going to throw that ball. So I think that’s a pretty good prop that you see him throw at least one

off. I’ll tell you, Tom, he’s been tough though. He’s really held up well, in these games. Even with all the pressure on them, they found the way to win against Kansas City found ways to win this guy is going to complete in about 70% of his passes. So I’m not gonna you know, go against you or with you on this one. But you know, Joe burrow. He’s a tough cookie, man. He’s tough

on No, no doubt about that. Let’s see. I mean, he hasn’t been in the big game yet before, so that they’re going to try to definitely prey on his inexperience on there. Give us a prop Scott, throw something out that you that you like on this game,

I think an interesting prop play in the Super Bowl here. And I was looking at a lot of them. And I’ve got a whole like list of stuff here in front of me that I made notes on throughout the last several days. But I think one of the more interesting ones. That’s why I said I think maybe the first half of the game could be interesting on a lower side, because I think there could be some key turnovers and mistakes. I like the prop. Obviously the total turnovers in from both teams to go over two and a half. I think that could be an interesting prop play because I could see turnovers. I could see that you know, maybe a possible fumbles here and there. And I could easily see three or four mistakes in this game between both teams and currently on this.

 They’re kind of agreeing with me on the odds on it the total turnovers for both teams two and a half this minus 140 to 143 on the money line, but I like that play because I think there’s gonna be a lot of opportunities for there to be some turnovers in this game. Now, that doesn’t mean this game can’t still be a high scoring game. And they’re both, you know, because these teams can move the ball as well. But I think there’s going to be some pressure and there’s going to be some mistakes and, and just some force things and maybe a fumble here and there by the running game that makes this total go over that two and a half. That is an interesting play for me.

All right, very, very interesting. I’m going to throw out another prop here. I’m going to go pretty conservatively here with this prop. There’s many different lines you can get there’s alternate alternate lines on on every prop. But I found one pretty low price odds that he passes over 278 yards for the Bengals the witness game, they’re going to have to put the ball in the air. Alright, so I’m saying he’s going to go over 278 passing yards, you get it about a minus 14, depending on where you shop. So that’s my second prop. Any any thoughts on that on this one?

Well, if you’re going to be right on your first one, which is you think he’s going to throw a pic, you probably got a good idea that if he’s gonna throw a lot of passes, because he’s gonna have to throw to get the 278 We both know that, that he might throw a pic somewhere in there. So if you’re gonna if you might be right on both, but obviously the more times he throws if you think he’s gonna throw a lot throughout the game, which he will and he could scramble, and he also has a good running back.

 Actually, he’s got a couple of guys that he can hand the ball off to to can move the ball down the field fam. So I don’t know what you know, as far as his total passing yards, you know if he’s gonna throw a ton or he’s not gonna throw a ton because he could mix it up a lot. But based on what you were saying about him throwing an interception obviously, if he throws a lot of passes, the chances of him getting picked and one of those passes could easily happen.

 So that would bring you know a W 40 on that. As far as I’m concerned. I got another plane I got another prop that I really think is interesting because most people are going to think the opposite of what I’m thinking on this one. The longest field goal in the game I think is going to be done by the Rams is good as Cincinnati’s kick has been and he’s been kicking the lights out of it. I think for some reason the rams are going to have the longer field goal attempt in this game and get it so that’s one prop I’m looking at you know, nothing, nothing crazy. Just something that came to me based on me evaluating the game.

 I just feel that the Cincinnati team may be in better positions at certain times not kicking, but I think the Rams will kick the longer field goal the two teams in the Super Bowl that’s another one of my props in this game.

got another couple of props. I’m kind of propped out about this game because I already know exactly what I’m doing for the game. And I’m going to give these guys the opportunity to make a score on the game itself if they reach out to me directly, but I’ll talk about that a little later on obviously, another another interesting play for me in this game because I feel like these teams will open it up eventually there’s no doubt about it because you got gunslingers on both sides that are not scared to throw the ball obviously when they Need to like the longest touchdown to go over 39 and a half yards.

 That’s an interesting prop, I think that there’s going to be a long touchdown in this game somehow, some way more than 39 and a half yards, somebody is going to get open and just be running down the field for about a 16th. You know, 50 6070 yard touchdown. Who knows maybe more of whatever the case may be, like the longest TD in the game. And right now currently on the on the over on that it’s minus 130. So the money line is minus 130 that it will happen. So I am in agreeance, that that will happen the game there will be a touchdown of more than 39 naff yards.

And I could be I could be the team that does eat

at the team, longest TD in the game over 39 and a half yards. And another one that kind of interests me this a little crazy. But I think this is going to happen. For some reason. I don’t think this game is ever going to be tied. Once it’s 00. I don’t think that once whoever takes gets out, they will never the game will never be tied like seven 714 14 I think the net the game will never be tied again. 

There’s a prop on that. And I believe it’s going to happen. And it’s minus actually 125. Again, I don’t know it seems like I’m going with the favorites here on these props. But I like that play I just don’t I think whatever happens happens in the game will never be tight once it once it’s zero after the first score, it won’t be a score. So whether someone’s kicks a field goal, and then a touchdown or whatever it is to safety or or two point conversion, you will never see a tie after 00. Well, there’s another interesting play Tommy in my little girl.

There’s literally 1000s of 1000s of 1000s of props on the game, and they’re saying this is going to be the biggest Super Bowl the most money wagered in history. So you know why

it’s an interesting Super Bowl, there’s no there’s no Big time, big time name like quarterback Tom Brady last year, you know, Aaron Rodgers, you know, you got all these big names mahomes, you know, all these big time, people, now you got just two, you know, workmanship teams, number four seats playing against each other. Nobody really, you know, can put it all together to figure out which one of these two is better than the next one. I’ve done that I believe I think I’m right on with this one big time. But you know, for the average person out there that just kind of doing the workmanship type of looking at things. But listening to all these shows, if you listen to all these shows, you can get like crazy, you know, confused because these guys like this one, this one likes that one.

 So at the end of the day, you know, it’s very confusing, but I’m like this, I’ve made my decision as far as the game goes. As far as these prop guys just have some fun with these properties. And I get crazy on. I have too many guys, they take these things so serious. And they think that they’re like the end all and ball selections for us. We’re just trying to advise you what we feel is an opportunity to you know, make a little money, a little money not to go out and bet serious money on these games. Just take it easy, enjoy it. Well, I tell you I kind of like the ones I mentioned. I really feel you know pretty cool about those. To be honest with you. I think if you just play those four particular plot props, and I’m also going to have some props on my Instagram too.  I like I like the play about the turnovers. I think that the both these teams can definitely cause each other to make mistakes. And over two and a half between both teams combined, I think that has a shot to get the job done. I’m not really, mentally, I feel like the Cincinnati, you know, excuse me, the Rams kicker is going to kick in longer might not be, you know, as strong as the other two. So you know, I kind of I’m kind of torn between the longest touchdown, and the turnovers as far as my top two prop plays. For us on the show.

Yeah, I’m kind of blown away. The whole football season’s gone already. It’s amazing. Before you before you know it, you’re waiting for it to get here. And then it the whole season is coming to an end after Sunday. It’s unbelievable.

Every year the season goes. It goes where you wait till August, you get preseason, and then boom. And before you know we got the Super Bowl, but it’s gonna be a great game. Well, I

think it’s gonna be a great game, because you’re number one, you’re in Los Angeles, which is the home of, you know, Hollywood to begin with. So it could be you know, Hollywood type a game to begin with, the weather is going to be crazy out there. I’m here in temperatures like in the 90s for February. Now, that’s not an air conditioned stadium, but they kind of open I guess they open up the roof or they can open it up a little bit. But that you know, that could play a deciding factor in the game because it is going to be hot. Under those conditions. 

These teams have been played in hot weather, you know, both of them outdoors in quite some time. So that could be an interesting factor on wear and tear on who’s keeping the ball you know, keeping the defense’s on the field longer. So that’s interesting this this is an exciting game like I said two teams nobody expected to be there are there that’s what makes it really fun. And I think I’ve done a so much work on this game to point me in this direction that I’m going in that I’m just feeling great about it.

 And I’m looking forward to Tommy I’m excited about I was gonna go to the game. I was gonna go to one of those Super Bowl parties in Vegas, but you know what, I’m just gonna chill out and enjoy this game with some friends and hang out and have a little Super Bowl party.
