The Number 24-ranked Aztecs hit the road with a 5-0 record and will be trying to avoid a letdown here tonight as a big road chalk as they have big games against Air Force and Fresno State. San Diego State is unbeaten thanks to a strong running game that averages 241 yards a game and a defense that ranks sixth in the country, allowing opponents just 270 total yards per game.
But you have to keep in mind that these stats have been compiled against just the 114th most difficult schedule in the nation as the five wins have come against teams that have gone a combined 8-20 this season.
Typically, this would be a spot where we would think the Aztecs may overlook San Jose State since they have dominated the series between these two schools, winning 7 of the last 8, but that one loss came last year when San Jose scored a exciting 28-17 upset at San Diego State as a 10-point underdog.
With that said, we think the Aztecs are going to be ready to avenge that defeat and come into tonight’s game fully focused.
