Ok, let’s get to our Ohio state vs Wisconsin prediction.
Much has changed for Wisconsin since the Badgers were dealt an embarrassing 73-55 loss at Ohio State as a 5.5 point underdog back on December 11.
Wisconsin has bounced back to win five in a row since that defeat, improving to 13-2 in the process and the team has been especially impressive in its last three games, with upset wins over Purdue and Maryland sandwiched between a home win over Iowa. The Badgers have now covered nine of their last 10 games with the lone blemish coming in that trip to Ohio State.
As for the Buckeyes, they have only played three games since beating Wisconsin and come into tonight’s game with a 10-3 record with just six wins against the spread.
The over/under in the first meeting was 134 and it went under by just six points, even though both teams really struggled from the 3-point land, shooting a combined 12 for 45, which is a dismal 27%. We expect both teams to shoot the ball better and so do the oddsmakers, who despite the first game going under have raised this total 4.5 points.
There’s a good reason for that increase so we’re going to ride the move and play the over tonight. The Buckeyes have gone over the total in 16 of their last 21 road games while Wisconsin comes into tonight’s game riding a five-game “over” streak.
So, for our College Basketball best bet for Thursday night, let’s go over the total of 138.5 in Wisconsin.
