OK, let’s get to our Maryland vs Nebraska College Basketball Picks.
A pair of Big 10 cellar dwellers suffering through disappointing seasons square off tonight in Lincoln as the 11-14 Maryland Terrapins visit the 7-18 Cornhuskers.
Nebraska stumbles in with losses in 11 of its last 12 games and 16 of its last 18 games, dating back to December 1st. The biggest culprit for the Huskers dismal season has been defense and rebounding. The team allows 79 points per game, which ranks them near the very bottom of the rankings across the entire country at 344 and the team also ranks just 355th in defensive rebounding.
As for the Terrapins, while they have not had much success in the Win-Loss column, losing five in row and seven of their last nine, the team is showing some signs of life. During the current five-game skid, there was a one-point loss at Purdue on Sunday and a two-point home loss to Michigan State.
At this point of the season, Maryland is the team that is playing with more of a purpose right now so we don’t mind laying this short number on the road with the Terps, which has also faced a much more difficult schedule than Nebraska this season.
