All right, Tommy Dee back here it is. Thursday, March 24. We have sweet 16 How sweet it is. We got a couple of big matchups for Thursday night here. We’re going to be talking about them. Let me get right to it. We got a lot to go over here. My two co-hosts you’ve seen before and you will see them again Mr. Scott Matthews from SM sports picks and Dre Fernandez from online sports bet.com Gentlemen, we got the sweet 16 What’s going on?

And that obviously both crashed.

Number one seed Gonzaga playing the Razorbacks of Arkansas. I’m going to start with Dre on this one. Gonzaga is nine and a half points favorite total.

 Right now is what 155 So they are expecting obviously, a lot of points here. What’s your take on this one? Dre? Have you taken the favorite or the dog?

Yeah, I’m gonna stay away from the spread here. I’m actually gonna take the over in this game. Both of these teams are playing pretty well. Obviously, they’re both in the sweet 16 fans. I had a little bit of a scare there. But we if you know anything about this Gonzaga team, you know, they put up points they are number one in the NCAA and point scored the average 87.8 on the season per game. And it’s no different than the tournament they’ve averaged at 7.5 or two tournament games against Memphis and the 16 seed they played. And then sorry, Arkansas is playing pretty good basketball right now.

 They’re one of the dark horses a lot of people picked. They are averaging before that New Mexico game didn’t have very good offensive game that was a very ground out topic type of game. But before that New Mexico game, they were averaging 75.14 points per game over the last seven games. They were playing great offensive basketball, I think with JD note leading the charge there. I think Arkansas can put up a lot of points. Stay with Gonzaga here if I’m going to take the overnight game.

up on this Gonzaga team every game that seems like they always just you know make it a high number and that you know they do not find a way to cover these numbers. All

You just faded for a second but that’s one technology. Sometimes. You got to deal with technology. Let’s to move on to a game Thursday that Scott is looking at Texas Tech Duke. I see the Blue Devils get the point here. Totals at 137. What’s your take on this one? Scott?

Wells coach is the Coach K bandwagon going to continue going down the tracks? That’s the question. Yeah. Who came alive? They were playing really well. In their last game. They were up pretty good margin against Michigan State, then gave up the lead actually went down five late in the game, and showed a lot of poise for a young team that came back from down five. 

I think they outscored him by like 14 points in the last minute or two. And Duke pulled away was a much closer game obviously to great coaches. So gets Mike’s access key. Obviously, this is an interesting matchup because Texas Tech is a stud team. They are a well-rounded team, they can play with anybody that coming in against Duke. You know, the, you know, the people out there definitely gonna be interested in this game for the sake like, because Coach K, obviously, this is the final go-round for him. So is he going to get them to, you know, the sweet, the eight or the, you know, the final four or Travis shot to win at all.

 I think in this game, they match up really well against Texas Tech. I like the way the young players are coming around seems like they’re chilling at the right time. And that’s a key that they’re gelling at the right time. And I think that the last game is a positive note for Duke as a dog in this game, not that it’s a big dog. 

But I would take Duke in this game, I would definitely keep them on the plus side, I would get this line about plus one and a half a plus two, I would jump on Duke I believe they’re going to get past Texas Tech somehow someway the pressure is going to get the Duke’s pressure is going to get the Texas Tech. And it could cause some key turnovers in the game that makes all the difference and be a very interesting game. But I like Duke to get the job done and advance.

Arizona Euston. All right Zoners one and a half points over Euston total 145 and a half pretty evenly matched on the money line. I mean you want to break it down Arizona is minus 124 The Cougars plus 103 What’s your take on this one dry?

Yeah, I see a lot of people jumping on Houston hereafter Arizona had barely survived TCU and overtime but I’m gonna take you on here. They’ve won eight and row 17 of their last 18 games. They’re still pretty much tied with Kansas with the second-best odds to win this whole tournament according to the books so the books pretty much still have faith in them. For me it’s just you Houston’s had that they don’t play in a tough conference. 

They play in the ACC they split games with the two teams right up under them in the standings and AC and s SMU and Memphis and they lost the Wisconsin and Alabama that season. The only two ranked teams they played so they haven’t really been tested. I know he played it annoying crushing last game but to me Illinois, kind of fakers they weren’t that good in my opinion. I think Arizona is a one seed for a reason. 

And I think that was their big test at the TCU game and for me them surviving that was was amazingly impressive. And I think they’re gonna win this game so I would take Arizona money line

too they made on this game I’m surprised that they’re making it I would have thought Arizona would probably be a 3.3 and a half point favorite. 

I know Houston’s got a good team and all but that is an interesting number on this game. It’s almost like a trap. A lot of attracting Arizona because you know everyone in the beginning of the tournament they’ll forget was saying Arizona has had the shot to win the whole thing I’ve seen so many media outlets so many of these shows. We’re picking Arizona you know Houston teams a good team they’re playing really well. 

They’ve been playing well all year very consistent team. But it’s a short number on this game. I gotta be honest with you when you look at so that they are given a lot of favoritism, the line setters not the public because the public I believe it’s going to jump on Arizona there’s no doubt about it. They’re going to jump on a team they know a little bit more and especially a team that hyping up like Arizona so this is a low number this could be a trap game but I’m not I have no opinion on it. Jays did his work on it. But you know it is a soft number I will be a little

alright let’s move on to the last game on the board for Thursday at Scotsman has this one on his radar Villanova against Michigan novice of five-point favorite totals 135 and a half. Who do you like on this one Scott?

Big East basketball man they represent we got Villanova I think is the last of the most Egan’s in there for the Big East you know, they haven’t lost the game in the month of March they’ve won every game they played this month that they came, they came alive at the right time. I told you I got excellent coaching Jay Wright, he knows how to put his team together. He knows how to get his players focused.

 They play in Michigan, you know, Michigan’s an interesting case. You know, the coach got suspended, you know, for the game and for the remaining five games in the regular season. He came back, I think they dropped the game. Then he came. Yeah, he dropped the one in the conference, the big 10 conferences. And then now they won two games. He actually won a very good game last time against the real strong who was playing very hot basketball, which was Tennessee. The line on this game was five. I just think that Villanova is just too much for Michigan to deal with in this game. I think they got too many weapons. I just think that they can shut them down. I don’t think Michigan has run into a beehive. Like they’re going to run into what this game I just think Villanova is like right now, as this focus. And it’s going to be tough.

 I wouldn’t be surprised if this Villanova team can carry themselves all the way to the Final Four, or maybe even to the final game. They’re just playing that well right now. And I’m not worried about a number of five on this game. I mean, if you want to be safe and bring it down to four buy it down. I’m okay with that. I mean, I’m a numbers guy.

 I think Villanova wins this game by about at least eight maybe as many as 12. I’ve been pretty good with Villanova on this tournament, I told you they’d win by 20 or more against Delaware in the opening game they won by 20. I came back and used them the next game. They got the job done again and covered. They won by I think there was five same kinds of line they won by 10. I could see the same thing happening in this game. I could see Villanova winning this game by double digits. They got too much talent. Big-time coaching edge. I think obviously the experience with Jay Wright being in this several times. And with the key players, Villanova guys get the money.

I don’t know what he has against the city of Washington, but he destroys him every time he plays there. And his last five games. He’s averaging 52.4 points, rebounds and assists against some in the last five games. She’s put up three triple-doubles against them. So I would just smash over and points rebounds and assists. He just he hates playing why? He hates the wizards. He destroys them every time he plays them. I would take him I don’t think they have anyone that can guard him. I would take him in this game is over. Alright, so you got to

deal with Jonas. I think he’s always using Yana son is on his prop play. He’s always dating women you honest good stuff going on Tommy Yana has made

me a lot of money. We

live in a new world. If that’s the case, so be it. But Scott, give us your best bet for Thursday. Like I said it could be a game we spoke about it could be any game on the board.

Well like I like I said on the last time I told you guys I got two really good plays up. I think both of them were great. And I like both of these games. I don’t think anything past these two. I mentioned on the show. I think you guys should play these games straight. And just you know, enjoy them.

If you had to choose one what would be your best bet though.

I’m gonna go with Villanova. I just like I like the way they play and I like the coach. You know the way he can get his team together. I think there’s a big coaching edge in a game like this. I think Michigan’s decent. Maybe they’re a little more underrated than they should have been, you know, because of their season, but they’re coming into the big dance and they’re coming in with the big boys now. And this really shows you the test of who’s who. And I just think Villanova is too strong I’m gonna ride with Villanova is my best bet for Thursday.

Alright, my best bet is I tend to agree with what Dre On this Gonzaga Arkansas game, I mean Gonzaga could put up over 100 points if they wanted to. So and Arkansas could score so I know the tall it’s a high total but I see both teams score and possibly in the 80s here so I’m going to go with the over in the Arkansas Gonzaga game is Tommy’s best bet for Thursday.
