JT Daniels Heisman Odds

JT Daniels is one of the favorites to win the 2021 Heisman Trophy Odds in 2021. Daniels joins a list at BetOnline that sees Oklahoma’s Spencer Rattler at the top, listed at +550. Daniels is second, and comes in at +700. Behind him are guys such as Bryce Young of Alabama and D.J. Uiagalelei of Clemson, along with CJ Stroud of Ohio State.

Daniels is 21 years old from California, and he spent his first season of College Football at USC. Daniel is considered a Junior, after playing his freshman season, sitting out the 2019 season due to a torn ACL, and then leading the Bulldogs to the Peach Bowl in 2020.

Before his college years, Daniels played High School Football at Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, where he threw for over 12,000 yards and 152 touchdowns in his career.

The Man Can Play

There is a reason Daniels is one of the favorites to win the 2021 Heisman. He shows some talent at USC with 14 touchdowns, but also 10 interceptions in 2018. Then, making his first start against Mississippi State in November of 2020, he went on to complete 80 of 119 passes for 10 touchdowns and 2 interceptions. He has played just 4 career games at Georgia, but the expectations are high.

What Are The Bulldogs Odds?

The Georgia Bulldogs come into the 2021 season as one of the favorites to be National Champions. It appears College Football sees the same teams as favorites every year, and 2021 is no difference. According to BetOnline – the Bulldogs are listed fourth behind Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma. The Bulldogs are just ahead of Ohio State, and then there is a steep drop down to Iowa State and Oklahoma State. Georgia has the second best SEC odds, and favorites to win their side and play in the conference title game.

Daniels Slate Too Tough
One thing many do not consider when talking about J.T. Daniels and his ability to win the 2021 Heisman is the schedule that the Bulldogs will face. Georgia does not have a cupcake schedule, which is not going to allow for him to put up insane video game type numbers.

Keep in mind, the Bulldogs start the 2021 season against the Clemson Tigers. There is no doubt that it will be an epic matchup, and Dabo Swinney is going to have his defensive troops ready for that showdown in Charlotte.

Then, you have to keep in mind they play in the SEC. The Bulldogs get Arkansas, Kentucky and Florida at home, but the trips to Auburn, Tennessee and finishing the season on the road in Atlanta at Georgia Tech are not going to be cupcakes. In the end, the road is too tough. This is a lot of pressure on a guy that’s made 4 starts with his team, facing this schedule.
