OK, let’s get to our Penn State vs IU basketball prediction.
The suddenly struggling Indiana Hoosiers look to get back on the winning track tonight as they host Big 10 rival Penn State, a team that is also sputtering a little bit right now.
The Hoosiers remain 14-5 on the season, but have lost two of their last four games, including an 80-62 blowout loss on their home court to Michigan over the weekend as a 3.5-point favorite.
The Nittany Lions, meanwhile, have lost three of their last four games to drop to 8-8 overall.
This is a rematch of the first meeting between these two teams on January 2 that saw Penn State pull off the 61-58 home upset as a 5-point underdog. In that game shot a blistering 50% from 3-point land and outrebounded the Hoosiers, 39-29, which helped solidify the victory.
The over/under in that game was 130 and even though Penn State was on fire from behind the arc, the game went under pretty easily. We expect a much better effort tonight from the Hoosiers, especially on the defensive end of the floor, as they look to bounce back from the Michigan loss and avenge the defeat to Penn State, and we’re also pretty sure that the Nittany Lions are not going to shoot anything close to 50% from Area Code 3, so for this Penn State Basketball game today we are going to play under the total.
