Ok, let’s get to our San Fran vs Gonzaga prediction.

Gonzaga is the Number 1-ranked team in the country and by also earning the Number 1 seed in the West Coast Conference tournament they begin the postseason tonight in the semifinals against San Francisco, which upset BYU over the weekend to advance.

The Zags have dominated this tourney, going 61-16 all-time, with 19 titles and 27 finals appearances, including each of the last 24 seasons. The Zags are 28-3 in the tournament since 2009, when the event moved to Las Vegas and they have never lost an opening game of the tournament in Sin City, winning all 13.

This is the third San Fran vs Gonzaga meeting of the season. Gonzaga swept the season series once again and they are now 46-4 against San Francisco under Mark Few with 23 straight wins.

The last meeting was on February 24th at San Francisco as the Zags won  89-73 in a game that went over the total of 159, but in that game both teams shot a white-hot 50% from three-point land. With a change in venue on a floor that neither team is completely familiar with, we don’t see either team shooting that same kind of percentage tonight.

The Zags have gone under the total in six out of their last seven games overall and they have also stepped up their defense when playing quality competition, going 5-1 to the under in games against teams that have won 60 percent or more of their games.

So for our San Francisco vs Gonzaga basketball bet we are going to play under the total.
