In an ACC showdown, Duke heads to Virginia tonight with revenge on its mind after getting stunned in the first meeting between these two conference rivals, 69-68, at home back on February 7 as an 11-point chalk.
Since that loss, the Dukies have rebounded to win four in a row to improve to 23-4 and they are very much in control for the regular season ACC title.
As for the Cavaliers, the team has won five of its last six games and seven of their last 10, to improve to 17-10 and get back in the mix for a bid to the Big Dance, and the chances of going dancing will get a huge boost if they can pull off another upset over Duke on their home floor tonight.
Four of the last five meetings between Duke and Virginia have gone over the total, including the first meeting this year when they combined for 137 points in a game that had a total of just 128. That game still went flying over the total despite the fact that both teams were ice cold from long range, hitting just 8 of 29 three-point attempts.
