Tommy d with online sports bet, back with your winners for Wednesday’s nba playoff action. We have two games to breakdown, so let’s start the earlier game in the eastern conference. The 1 seed vs the 8. The Philadelphia 76ers are hosting the Washington Wizards for game 2 of their opening series.
The 76ers won the first game but failed to cover the 8 point spread by a single point, breaking the hearts of chalk bettors everywhere.
They didn’t play especially well, shooting only 10 of 33 from the three point line. If it wasn’t for Tobias Harris having an explosive game, going for 37 points, and completely taking over the game, the sixers May have fallen short. The sixers really need Ben Simmons to turn into a scorer to have a chance to make a run through the eastern conference. Although he fills up the stat sheet, accumulating 15 boards and 15 assists in game 1, He Only scored 6 points which is a problem for a player of his magnitude.
We see the wizards vs sixers spread is the exact same as in game 1. The sixers are once again favored by 8 points, and the Washington vs Philadelphia total is slightly higher at 231.
The sixers had the best home record in the nba this season with a 30-7 record. I don’t think the wizards will have much of a chance on Wednesday night. Embiid was causing problems for Washington bigs getting them all into early foul trouble. This seems to be a trend for the wizards Front court players. Alex Len, Robin Lopez and rui huichimura all racked up quick fouls against the Celtics in the play in game as well.
The 76ers are 10-0 against the wizards in their last 10 home meetings, and are 8-0 overall at home in the month of May.
There are no notable additions to the wizards and sixers injury report. Thomas Bryant is still obviously out For the season, and wizards’ rookie deni avdija Is out and that’s a minor loss.
Game Prediction and Picks
I don’t see the wizards playing as well as they did in game 1. Their entire offense shot the ball better than 50% from the floor. Although they have the third highest scoring offense in the league this season, they shoot the ball from three this year less than almost any other nba team.
As good as they’ve been against the spread since the all star break, even going 21-6 since April 1st, I don’t think they will cover the 8 this time but I’m not extremely confident the sixers will have an offensive explosion either.
My wizards vs sixers prediction is the sixers win and cover the spread but my favorite side here is the wizards team total under 112.
