Warriors Face Thunder in Group Stage Matchup
For their first In-Season Tournament game, the Golden State Warriors will travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder. Golden State and OKC are in West Group C, and are both expected to do well in the group. The Warriors are favored in this one however, as Golden State went 3-1 against the Thunder in 2022, but the Warriors also struggled mightily on the road, posting a 11-30 record (win-rate: 26.8%) in away games. The Thunder were not dominant at home last year, but they did post a winning record, going 24-17 (win-rate: 58.5%), making this one an interesting matchup.
I’m going with the Golden State Warriors in this one. OKC’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been ruled out for Friday’s game against the Warriors, and without him the Thunder don’t stand a chance. SGA is the centerpiece of OKC’s offense, averaging 24.8 points and 6.6 assists per game, recording 30+ points in 3 out of 5 matchups. Conversely, the Warriors are at full strength. Steph Curry is putting up 31.0 points per game, and with Chris Paul managing the second unit, Golden State has been incredibly tough to beat.
So for our Thunder vs. Warriors expert pick, take the Golden State Warriors Moneyline on Friday.
