If I had told you two or three weeks ago that the Jazz and the Suns were playing you would have been way more excited for this matchup than for today. The Jazz have hit a massive skid after starting the season 28-10 they have dropped to 30-16 and have dropped to fourth in the West after the Grizzlies passed them. The Suns on the other hand have not even sniffed a slump, they just keep on winning.

They are 36-9 and have won six in a row and nine of their last ten. Three weeks ago this line may have opened at something like 3.5 instead of seven. I think this is a bit of an overreaction by the books. The Jazz are still a great team and deserve some more respect. These teams will be playing each other twice over the next three days. I expect the Jazz to play up to their competition here.

Phoenix is 5th in offensive efficiency this season and while that may sound impressive don’t forget about the Jazz. Despite their recent skid, the Jazz still rank first in the NBA in offensive efficiency by a decent margin.
